Notice impressive performance of BJ Mack (17 points), Lee Skinner (17 points), and Justin Gordon (21 points).
#1. BJ Mack, a 6'8'' forward aged 26, is a former standout player from the University of South Carolina, where he graduated in 2024. Prior to his time at South Carolina, he honed his skills at Wofford College from 2020 to 2023, earning the prestigious All-SoCon First Team award during his college career. Currently, Mack is showcasing his talents in Japan's professional basketball league as a member of the Niigata Albirex team. In a recent game, he led his team to a thrilling 80-75 victory over the league-leading Five Arrows with an outstanding performance that earned him the MVP title. Despite being only in his second season in professional basketball, Mack's contribution was pivotal as he scored 17 points, secured 8 rebounds, and played for 38 minutes. Niigata Albirex, positioned fifth in the league with a record of 32-20, has seen a resurgence with Mack's help, securing their third consecutive victory. In another game against Kagawa FA, Mack once again showcased his skills by scoring 17 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and providing 2 assists to lead his team to another impressive win. Throughout the season, Mack has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. With his consistent performances and leadership on the court, BJ Mack has proven himself to be a true champion in the making.
#2. In a recent game in the Romanian Liga Nationala Baschet de Masculin, the skilled and seasoned player Lee Skinner, who stands at 6'6'' and is 33 years old, showcased his talent on the court. A former Terriers alumnus from the class of 2016, Skinner currently plays professionally in Romania. He led his team, CSO Voluntari, to a convincing 102-85 victory over the seventh-ranked Sibiu with an impressive performance that earned him the MVP title. Skinner's contribution of 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 31 minutes of play was instrumental in securing the win for his team. His exceptional display demonstrated why he is considered a champion on the court. Despite CSO Voluntari currently holding the third position in the league with a record of 20-8, Skinner's consistent performance throughout the season has been noteworthy. Averaging 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, Skinner continues to be a key player for his team and a standout finalist in the league.
#3. Experienced champion Justin Gordon, a 6'6'' forward who is 32 years old and graduated from Wofford in 2016, showcased his skills for TFT (22-5) in their recent game. Despite delivering an outstanding performance, Gordon could not prevent the finalist TFT from suffering a crushing 109-87 defeat on the road against the lower-ranked Pelister, who currently holds the #3 position in the Places 1-6 group. Despite the loss, Gordon emerged as the top scorer for his team, contributing 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 29 minutes of play. This game marked Gordon's first season with the team, and he demonstrated his talent by putting up an impressive performance against the reigning champions. Even though Gordon's individual stats have been impressive throughout the season, averaging 15.5 points per game, 5.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals, his team couldn't secure a victory against the formidable opponent. Justin Gordon has a remarkable basketball background, having previously participated in the Eurobasket Summer League, which is highly regarded as a top summer league for players aspiring to pursue basketball careers overseas.
#4. Fletcher Magee, a 6'4'' guard and 29-year-old alumnus of the Terriers from 2019, currently plays professionally in Montenegro. Recently, he showcased his skills in a crucial matchup where KK Buducnost VOLI Podgorica faced off against league leader Cluj Napoca. In this highly anticipated game between two top 4 ranked teams, Magee's team emerged victorious with a dominant 112-81 win. Despite playing for just 15 minutes, Magee contributed 5 points to the scoreboard. Magee's impact on the court extended beyond scoring, as he also grabbed 1 rebound and provided 1 assist against Cluj Napoca. This stellar performance by Magee was instrumental in guiding his team to a resounding victory, ultimately leading them to be crowned as the champion. His noteworthy contributions in the game highlighted his importance to the team's success. Throughout the season, Magee has maintained solid averages of 6.9 points per game and 1.2 assists per game. His consistent performance and valuable contributions make him a key player for KK Buducnost VOLI Podgorica as they strive for success in the league.
