Connecticut won NCAA Championship !!!
Connecticut did not leave any doubt which team was better in the final. They conrtolled the game from the first minutes, having at one point over 20 points lead, finally outclassing Georgia Tech 82-73. The Huskies lead by trio Nigerian Emeka Okafor, UK born Ben Gordon and Rashad Anderson can celebrate their 2nd national championship, which was repeated after 5 years. Okafor was definitely the MVP of the game. He had 24 points and 16 rebounds. Gordon had impressive 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, while Anderson ended with 18 points and 6 rebounds. The top two players at Georgia Tech side were Will Bynum (17 pts + 5 ast) and Barry Elder (14 pts + 5 reb).
