#1. Jeremiah Gambrell Jr., a 6'3'' point guard aged 26, graduated from Alcorn St. in 2024 but played at PVAMU from 2020 to 2023 before embarking on his professional career in Lebanon. In a recent game, he led his team, Antranik, to a resounding 94-78 victory over Maristes, one of the weaker teams in the league, in the Lebanese Decathlon Lebanese Basketball League. Gambrell Jr. showcased his exceptional talent by recording an astonishing 51 points, along with 6 assists and 3 steals in just 35 minutes of play, earning him the title of MVP of the game. This remarkable performance is even more impressive considering it is only his second season in professional basketball. Antranik Beirut, currently placed fourth in the league with a record of 13-9, secured their fifth consecutive win, with Gambrell Jr. playing a pivotal role. As Antranik Beirut approaches their final game of the Regular Season, Gambrell Jr.'s first year with the team has been marked by outstanding individual achievements and stellar contributions to the team's success. His remarkable season averages of 25.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in the 22 games he has played so far underscore his status as a true champion on the court. Gambrell Jr.'s exceptional performance against Maristes not only propelled his team to victory but also earned him the prestigious Elite Badge from eurobasket.com, solidifying his reputation as a standout player in the realm of basketball.
