#1. Amin Stevens (6'8''-F/C-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Belgium) led Basic-Fit Brussels to a victory over the closely-ranked Antwerp Giants (5-3) 86-79 in the Belgian Euromillions League in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Stevens had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 4 assists in 40 minutes. Basic-Fit Brussels (5-3) is placed fourth in the Euromillions League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Stevens' first year with the team. Stevens has relatively good stats this season 13.9ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.9apg in eight games he played so far.
#2. Elijah Mays (6'0''-PG, graduated '17, plays in Ireland) could not help Swords Thunder (2-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mays' very good performance Swords Thunder was defeated 93-78 in a derby game by the lower-ranked UCD Marian (#5). He was the top scorer with 36 points. Mays also added 3 passes. It's Mays' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Mays averages 29.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.9apg and 2.2spg.
#3. Desmond Williams (6'7''-F-95, graduated '18, currently in Luxembourg) was the major contributor in Larochette's victory against one of league's weakest teams Sparta (2-11) 105-97 in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 12 rebounds. Williams also added 4 assists in 40 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. BBC Arantia Larochette (4-9) is placed eighth in the Total League. Williams has very impressive stats this year 23.6ppg, 10.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.6bpg in 10 games.
