#1. Jemerrio Jones, a 6'5'' guard who graduated from NM State in 2018 and received the All-WAC All-Tournament MVP award that year, is currently playing professionally in Mexico. Recently, he led Frayles de Guasave to a dominant victory over the eighth-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis with a resounding score of 111-83 in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico last Friday. In that game, Jones showcased his skills by contributing 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in just 21 minutes of play. Frayles de Guasave, currently placed second in the league with a record of 23-17, owes much of its success to Jones. His standout performance against Los Mochis was instrumental in securing the victory and solidifying his status as the champion of the game. Throughout the season, Jones has maintained impressive averages of 6.7 points per game (ranking fourth in the league), 9.0 rebounds per game (ranking second in the league), 4.3 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game (ranking fourth in the league) in the 45 games he has played so far. His consistent contributions on both ends of the court have undoubtedly been a key factor in his team's success.
#2. Christian Cook, a 24-year-old 6'2'' guard and Aggies alumnus from 2025, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Australia. Despite his team, the Albury Wodonga Bandits, facing a tough matchup against the Hawks in the East group, Cook showcased his talent by putting up an impressive performance. In the recent game, despite the Bandits' loss, Cook's skills were on full display as he emerged as the top scorer with 32 points and contributed 9 rebounds in 38 minutes of play. This remarkable display is even more noteworthy considering it is only his first season in professional basketball. Cook's exceptional year is further highlighted by his consistent high-level performance throughout the season. With an average of 19.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 12 appearances, Cook has proven himself to be a standout player in the league. Despite his individual success, Cook's ultimate goal remains to lead his team to victory and make a significant impact as a champion in the league.
#3. Australian champion, Amarco Doyle, a 6'7'' forward aged 21, completed his studies at NM State in 2025 before transitioning to professional basketball in his native country. In a recent game for the Cairns Marlins in the Australian NBL One, Doyle played a pivotal role in their 103-98 victory over the Rollers, who were ranked second with a 7-2 record. Doyle's impressive performance saw him score 22 points in 34 minutes, highlighting his impact despite being in his debut professional season. The matchup between the Cairns Marlins and the Rollers was highly anticipated, as both teams were among the top 3 in their division. With this win, the Cairns Marlins maintained their perfect record of 7-0 in the Regular Season, with Doyle proving to be a key player in their success. In another game against Gold Coast R., Doyle once again showcased his skills as a champion, contributing 22 points and 3 rebounds to secure another victory for his team. His consistent high-level performances have earned him averages of 19.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game over the course of seven games, further solidifying his status as a finalist player in the league.
#4. Experienced player Mali Bandja Sy, standing at 6'9'' and aged 35, is a former Aggies alumnus from 2013. Sy was a key contributor to their victory in the WAC Tournament that year. Currently playing professionally in Romania, Sy recently faced off against Cluj Napoca but unfortunately could not lead his team Oradea (23-5) to victory. Despite his efforts, Oradea, the league leader, suffered a tough 103-78 defeat on the road to Cluj Napoca. During the game, Sy managed to put up 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in 14 minutes of play. Although he displayed an impressive performance, his team ultimately fell short and lost the game. Throughout this season, Sy has maintained solid averages of 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in 32 appearances. It is worth noting that Sy holds French citizenship, adding to his diverse background as a basketball champion and finalist.
#5. Canadian Emmanuel Tshimanga, a 7'0'' forward at 25 years old, who graduated from NM State in 2025, currently plays professionally in Australia. He recently played a crucial role in the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' victory against the 12th-ranked Hornets with a score of 74-60 in the Australian NBL One, which is the second division league. Tshimanga showcased his skills by achieving a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, with a record of 9-3, currently hold the fourth position in the East group standings. In a remarkable performance against the Hills Hornets, Tshimanga not only scored 14 points and secured 12 rebounds but also contributed with 2 assists, leading his team to a well-deserved win. Throughout the season, Tshimanga has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 13.6 points per game, 15.5 rebounds per game (leading the league in this category), and 1.6 assists per game across eight games. His consistent performance and significant contributions make him a standout player and a finalist to watch in the Australian NBL One league.
#6. Teddy Allen, a 6'6'' guard and 27-year-old Aggies alum from 2022, currently plays professionally in Canada. Recently, he was unable to lead the Winnipeg Sea Bears (3-3) to a victory in their last game, where they were narrowly defeated 100-98 by the Mamba in Saskatoon. Despite his exceptional performance, Teddy Allen, a finalist, scored 28 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and blocked 2 shots in 39 minutes on the court. Against Saskatchewan, Teddy Allen, a champion, showcased his skills with an impressive stat line of 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite his outstanding efforts, his team fell short and suffered a defeat. His performance highlighted why he is a champion. Throughout the season, Teddy Allen has been having a stellar individual year with impressive stats. He is averaging 26.5 points per game (the second-best in the league), 7.2 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, and 3.0 steals per game (leading the league) in six games. Teddy Allen's consistency and contributions on the court demonstrate why he is a champion in the league.
#7. Troy Gillenwater, a 6'9'' forward who is 37 years old and graduated from NM State in 2011, is currently playing professionally in Indonesia. In a recent game, he led Dewa United to a resounding 85-66 victory over the closely-ranked Tangerang in the Indonesian Basketball League. Gillenwater's stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he achieved a double-double by scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, while also making all five of his free throws in just 27 minutes of play. #8. Terrell Brown, a 6'1'' guard and 28-year-old Aggies alum from 2020, has been making a significant impact in the professional basketball scene in Mexico. Recently, he played a pivotal role in Angeles de Ciudad de Mexico's thrilling 112-107 victory over the closely-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico. In this game, Brown showcased his prowess by contributing 12 points and making 3 steals in just 24 minutes of play. Against Tijuana, Brown displayed his skills once again by scoring 12 points and providing 2 assists. Currently competing in the TBL as a professional player, McCants recently contributed to Potawatomi Fire's impressive 130-108 victory over the Ads Sentinels. Despite only scoring 2 points in 16 minutes of play, McCants also managed to grab 2 rebounds, aiding his team in clinching the champion title in the match. Throughout this season, McCants has been averaging 2.9 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game across 17 games, showcasing his consistent performance and dedication on the court.
#10. Nate Tshimanga, a towering 6'10'' forward from the DR Congo and a proud alum of the Aggies from 2025, currently showcases his skills as a professional player in Canada. Despite his talent and dedication, Tshimanga faced a tough challenge when he and the Montreal Alliance took on the Blackjacks. In the recent game, Tshimanga, the finalist, only managed to contribute 2 points during his brief 4-minute appearance on the court. Unfortunately, the Alliance fell short, losing to the Blackjacks with a score of 79-90. Although Tshimanga did score 2 points against Ottawa, his individual effort wasn't enough to secure a victory for his team. As the season progresses, Tshimanga's scoring average stands at 0.7 points per game after three matches. Despite the recent setbacks, Tshimanga remains determined to improve and make a significant impact for his team in the upcoming games.
