#1. Patrell Rogers, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from SC State in 2016 and currently plays professionally in the ECBL, showcased his skills in the recent game for the Carolina Thunder. Despite his remarkable performance, where he scored an impressive 54 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists, the Carolina Thunder (#5) couldn't secure a victory, falling 114-129 on the road to the North Carolina Capitals. Rogers' exceptional display on the court even earned him the Elite Badge from eurobasket.com. With only three games remaining in the East Coast Basketball League Regular Season, each upcoming match is crucial for the team. Rogers has been having a standout year individually, boasting high statistics with an average of 39.6 points per game (the second-best in the league), 5.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in the 10 games he has played so far. His consistent performance and scoring prowess have solidified his position as a champion on the team, despite the recent loss to the Capitals.
#2. Eric Eaves, a 6'3'' shooting guard and Bulldogs alumnus from the class of 2017, showcased his skills in the East Coast Basketball League as he led the Carolina Crusaders to a thrilling 138-129 victory over the North Carolina Coyotes. Eaves, a 32-year-old professional player in the ECBL, was awarded the MVP title for his exceptional performance in the game, where he scored an impressive 33 points, secured 5 rebounds, provided 4 assists, and made 3 steals. Despite the Carolina Crusaders holding a somewhat lackluster 6-7 record this season, Eaves has been a standout player with remarkable statistics. Averaging 29.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in the eight games played so far, Eaves has been a key player for his team. With only one more game remaining in the regular season, Eaves' upcoming performance will be crucial for the Carolina Crusaders. His outstanding contributions on the court against the North Carolina Coyotes not only led his team to victory but also solidified his status as a champion in the league.
