Here is the weekly review of the top performing Falcons alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Lebanese basketball champion Youssef Khayat, a 23-year-old forward standing at 6'9'' who graduated from BGSU in 2025, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Lebanon. In a recent game, he led his team, Sagesse, to a resounding 99-73 victory over the closely-ranked Al Markaziyyah, showcasing his prowess on the court. Khayat's stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he recorded an impressive double-double by scoring 37 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while also contributing 4 assists in just 28 minutes of play. This outstanding display is even more remarkable considering it is only Khayat's first season in professional basketball. The game, which pitted two top 4 ranked teams against each other, was a highlight of the season. Sagesse, currently second in the league with a record of 18-3, secured their eighth consecutive victory, with Khayat playing a pivotal role in their success. Recognized for his exceptional performance, Khayat was awarded the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a finalist player. Throughout the season, he has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 20.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, showcasing his all-around skills on the court. With just one more game to go in the Regular Season, all eyes will be on Khayat and his team as they aim to continue their winning streak and solidify their position in the league.

#2. Experienced point guard Jordan Crawford, who stands at 5'6'' and is 35 years old, is a Falcons alumnus from 2013 and received an All-MAC Honorable Mention award that year. Currently playing professionally in Turkey, Crawford recently played for Erokspor (17-13) in a game last Wednesday but unfortunately could not lead his team to victory. Erokspor suffered a tough 94-72 defeat against the top team, Fenerbahce, in a highly anticipated derby match. Despite the loss, Crawford showcased his skills by contributing 11 points and 3 assists during his 22 minutes on the court. This season marks Crawford's first with the team, and he has been maintaining solid statistics with an average of 15.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. In the recent game against Fenerbahce, Crawford displayed an impressive performance, scoring 11 points, securing 1 rebound, and distributing 3 assists. Despite his noteworthy efforts, Erokspor was unable to secure the victory against the formidable opponent.

#3. Justin Turner, a 6'4'' guard who graduated from BGSU in 2021, is currently playing professionally in Lithuania. Despite his remarkable performance, Turner was not able to lead Gargzdu (15-17) to victory in their recent game against Neptunas, the third-ranked team in the league. Gargzdu suffered a heavy defeat, losing 100-73 on the road. Turner emerged as the second-highest scorer for his team, contributing 15 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in 25 minutes of play. This marks Turner's debut season with the team, and he has been showcasing his skills on the court. Despite his impressive individual performance against Neptunas, where he scored 15 points, collected 5 rebounds, and dished out 2 assists, his team could not secure the win. Throughout the season, Turner has been putting up impressive numbers, averaging 16.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Despite the challenges faced by his team, Turner's skills and contributions on the court have been noteworthy as he continues to make a mark in his professional basketball career.

#4. Leon Ayers III, a 6'5'' guard at 26 years old and a Falcons alumni from 2023, currently plays professionally in Portugal. Despite his All-MAC Honorable Mention award in 2023, Ayers III's recent performance for Oliveirense was not enough to secure a victory in their game last Saturday. The team suffered a heavy defeat, with Benfica triumphing 86-61 in Lisbon. Even in the face of the loss, Ayers III stood out as the top scorer of the game, contributing an impressive 20 points along with 5 rebounds in just 26 minutes on the court. His notable performance showcased his skills, as he also managed to provide 1 assist during the match. Throughout the season, Ayers III has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Despite his consistent contributions, the recent game against Benfica demonstrated that individual success does not always translate to team victories in the fiercely competitive world of professional basketball.

#5. Demajeo Wiggins, a 28-year-old center/forward standing at 6'10" who graduated from BGSU in 2019 and received the All-MAC Second Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Croatia. In a recent game, he helped KK Split emerge victorious against the closely-ranked Cibona with a score of 83-78 in the Croatian Favbet Premijer Liga. Wiggins contributed significantly to the win by scoring 5 points, securing 8 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in just 18 minutes of play. This game, considered the highlight of the round, featured two top 4 ranked teams battling it out, with KK Split, placed third in the league with a record of 25-8, emerging as the victor. Wiggins' impressive performance on the court not only helped his team secure the win but also showcased his essential role in leading his team to success, affirming his status as a finalist. Throughout the season, Wiggins has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.2 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game (ranking fourth best in the league), and 1.7 assists per game. His consistent contributions on both ends of the court have undoubtedly made him a valuable asset to his team and a key player in their pursuit of championship glory.

#6. British champion Jason Spurgin, a 6'11'' center who is 24 years old and an alumnus of the Falcons from 2024, is currently playing professionally in Australia. Despite his stellar performance, Spurgin could not lead the struggling Sutherland Sharks (3-5) to victory in their recent game against the Crusaders, who are ranked 9th in the East group. The 11th-placed Sutherland Sharks were defeated 104-99 in Terrigal, despite Spurgin's impressive double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, along with 2 blocks in 39 minutes of play. In a standout game against Cent.Coast C., Spurgin once again showcased his skills by scoring 24 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and contributing 2 assists. Despite his exceptional efforts, the team was unable to secure a win. Spurgin's outstanding performance earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, recognizing his exceptional abilities on the court. Throughout the season, Spurgin has maintained high statistics, averaging 21.6 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game. It is noteworthy that Spurgin holds both American and British citizenship, allowing him the flexibility to play in the United Kingdom as a domestic player.

#7. Wes Alcegaire, a 31-year-old professional basketball player who stands at 6'6'' and graduated from BGSU in 2017, showcased his talent on the court in a recent game in the Paraguayan LNB. Playing for his team against San Alfonso, he played a pivotal role in their dominant 89-39 victory on Thursday night. Alcegaire's performance was nothing short of exceptional, as he demonstrated his prowess by scoring 10 points, securing 9 rebounds, and providing 2 assists in just 21 minutes of play. This outstanding display of skill and determination solidified his reputation as a champion player. Throughout the season, Alcegaire has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Despite being a naturalized American, he has made a significant impact in the Paraguayan league, consistently delivering strong performances and contributing to his team's success. Alcegaire's talent and dedication on the court highlight his status as a finalist player who continues to excel in his basketball career.

#8. Cuban Marlon Sierra, a 28-year-old forward/center standing at 6'7'' and an alumnus of the Falcons class of 2020, currently plays professionally in the TBL. In a recent game for the Glass City Wranglers (11-8) last Friday, Sierra's efforts were not enough to secure a victory as they were defeated 103-94 by the Griffins in St. Louis. Despite his commendable performance, Sierra, the finalist player, contributed 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court. Sierra showcased his skills and determination as a champion player with his impressive performance against the Griffins, although the Glass City Wranglers ultimately fell short. Throughout the season, Sierra has maintained solid statistics with an average of 11.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. It is noteworthy that Sierra holds both American and Cuban citizenship, allowing him the flexibility to play in Cuba as a domestic player.

#9. In a thrilling match on Thursday night, Jamaican Trey Thomas, a 6'0'' point guard at 25 years old and a BGSU graduate from 2025, displayed his talent on the court for the Scarborough Shooting Stars. He played a pivotal role in their 107-103 victory over the Mamba in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Despite being on the court for just 12 minutes, Thomas managed to contribute 9 crucial points to secure the win. In a subsequent game against Saskatchewan, Thomas once again proved his mettle by scoring 9 points, securing 1 rebound, and providing 1 assist. His stellar performance was instrumental in leading his team to another victory, highlighting his skills as a finalist. Throughout the season, Thomas has maintained an average of 7.0 points per game and 1.3 rebounds per game, showcasing his consistency and value to the team. It is notable that Trey Thomas holds dual American and Jamaican citizenship, allowing him to play in Jamaica as a domestic player. His versatility and dedication to the sport make him a valuable asset both on and off the court, embodying the qualities of a true champion.
