#1. Mario Matasovic (6'7''-F/C-1993, played in 2015-15, plays pro in Iceland) contributed to a 1-point Njardvik's victory against the closely-ranked Tindastoll (10-4) 69-68 in the Icelandic Subway League last Thursday. He scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. UMFN Njardvik (14-4) is placed second in the Subway League. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Matasovic's sixth season with the team. Matasovic has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.8apg, 1.1bpg and 1.4spg in 17 games he played so far.
#2. Matej Buovac (6'7''-F-1993, played in 2014-14, plays in Croatia) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Podstrana (4-14) 84-69 in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 9 points. KK Zagrebis placed in the Prva Liga. It's Buovac's first season with the team. This year Buovac averages 9.9ppg and 2.3rpg.
#3. Experienced Shane Gibson (6'2''-G-1990, played in 2019-23, currently in Iraq), who plays in Iraq could not help the league outsider Al Naft (0-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Al Naft was crushed101-67 at home by the leading Gorgan. Gibson was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 4 assists in 40 minutes. So far Al Naft lost all six games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the West Asia Super League. Gibson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.2ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.2apg in five games.
#4. Tevin Falzon (6'8''-SF-1992, played in 2012-16, plays pro in Spain) was not able to help La Roda in their game against Algeciras (7-12) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). His contribution was not very remarkable in Saturday's game. Falzon recorded only one point. The 12th-placed La Roda (7-12) was crushed89-65 on the road by the higher-ranked Algeciras (#10) in the West group. This season Falzon averages 0.3ppg and 3.0rpg. He is a naturalized Maltese.
