Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Blue Devils players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced champion Javier Mojica, a 6'3'' shooting guard at 41 years old who graduated from CCSU in 2007 and received the NEC Tournament MVP award that year, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. In a recent game, Mojica, a finalist, unfortunately couldn't lead the Vaqueros de Bayamon (16-10) to victory. Despite his strong performance, the second-placed Bayamon team suffered a narrow 94-93 defeat on the road against the third-ranked Gigantes in Group B. Mojica contributed 14 points and 3 assists in 31 minutes of play. This loss marked Vaqueros de Bayamon's first defeat following three consecutive wins. In a previous game against Carolina, Mojica showcased his skills by scoring 14 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 3 assists, yet his team still fell short. Throughout the season, Mojica has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in the 25 games he has participated in so far. It is notable that Mojica holds both American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing him to compete in Puerto Rico as a domestic player.
#2. Kenneth Horton, a 6'7'' power forward and 36-year-old Blue Devils alumni from 2012, currently playing professionally in Argentina, recently showcased his skills on the court. In a recent game, he played a pivotal role for Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia as they triumphed over the sixth-ranked Ferro with an impressive scoreline of 88-54 in the Argentinian La Liga. Despite scoring just 2 points in 15 minutes of play, Horton's contribution was invaluable. Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia, with a record of 24-12, currently holds the second spot in the league standings. In the game against Ferro, Horton's performance was modest with 2 points and 1 rebound, yet it played a crucial part in his team's success, propelling them to the next round. Ultimately, Horton's efforts helped his team emerge as the champion. Throughout this season, Horton has been averaging 4.9 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game in the 30 games he has participated in so far. His consistent contributions on the court have been instrumental in his team's success, highlighting his importance as a key player for Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia.
#3. Jayden Brown, a former standout player for CCSU who helped them secure the NEC Regular Season Champion title in 2025, is currently playing professionally in Australia. Despite Brown's exceptional performance, Bellarine Storm (3-7) fell short in their recent game against Melbourne Uni, who are ranked at #9. Brown showcased his skills by scoring 21 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists in 34 minutes of play. It is noteworthy that this remarkable performance came in only his first season of professional basketball. Although Brown's individual stats for the season have been impressive, averaging 17.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game (ranking him fourth in the league), his team faced a tough loss against Melbourne Uni.
