#1. Australian basketball champion Summah Evans, a 6'0'' forward who graduated from Clemson in 2025 and currently plays professionally in Australia, showcased her skills by leading the Cairns Dolphins to a significant 87-78 victory over the 12th-ranked Rollers in the Australian NBL One North, the second division of the league, on Saturday night. Evans, who was named the MVP of the game, delivered a stellar performance by recording a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds while also contributing 3 assists during her 40 minutes on the court. It is noteworthy that this impressive display came in Evans' debut season in professional basketball. The Cairns Dolphins, with a perfect 7-0 record, hold the top spot in the North group, having won all seven games in the Regular Season so far. In a standout match against Gold Coast R, Evans once again shone brightly, scoring 24 points, securing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists to lead her team to victory. Her exceptional performance not only propelled the Cairns Dolphins to the championship title but also earned her the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com. Throughout the season, Evans has consistently performed at a high level, boasting impressive averages of 17.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, solidifying her status as a standout player in the league.
