Every week we bring you a list of the top former Hokies players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Australian player Georgia Amoore, a 5'6'' guard who is 25 years old, graduated from Kentucky in 2025 after playing at Virginia Tech from 2020 to 2024. In 2024, she was recognized as a Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award Finalist. Currently, she is showcasing her skills in the WNBA as a pro athlete. In her recent game with the Washington Mystics (3-4), despite her strong efforts, the team suffered a loss on the road against the Seattle Storm, with a final score of 85-97. Amoore delivered a noteworthy performance, emerging as the second-highest scorer for the Washington Mystics with 13 points. Additionally, she showcased her playmaking abilities by dishing out 6 assists, making all 8 of her free throws in a 26-minute playing time. Although the team couldn't secure the win, it is still early in the season, leaving room for improvement and potential turnarounds. Against the Seattle Storm, Amoore displayed her skills with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists. Despite her contributions, the team fell short and couldn't claim the victory. In the ongoing season, Amoore is averaging 6.3 points per game and 4.2 assists per game in the six games she has participated in thus far.

#2. Taylor Soule, a 26-year-old, 5'11'' forward and alumna of the Hokies from the class of 2023, was a key player in helping her team win the ACC Tournament in that year. She now competes professionally in the UPSHOT league. In a recent game, Soule played for the Jacksonville Waves against the Greensboro Groove but was unable to lead her team to victory. Despite scoring 7 points in just 14 minutes and grabbing 1 rebound, the Waves suffered a tough 89-71 loss to the Groove. This defeat marked the Waves' first loss after enjoying three consecutive victories. Even though Soule put up an impressive performance individually, her team fell short against the Greensboro Groove. This season, Soule has been averaging 8.4 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game in the five games she has played so far.

#3. In the recent match, the skilled Australian player, Hannah Young, standing at 6'2'' and aged 33, who completed her studies at Virginia Tech in 2016 and currently competes professionally in Australia, unfortunately could not lead Ipswich Force (2-5) to victory. Despite her notable performance, the ninth-placed Ipswich Force (2-5) suffered a 61-74 defeat against the lower-ranked (#11) Pirates in the North group, played in Runcorn. Young showcased her talent by emerging as the second-best scorer for Ipswich Force with 13 points and contributing 6 rebounds during her 37 minutes on the court. In a previous game against SW Metro P, she exhibited a strong performance by scoring 13 points, securing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist, although her team ultimately faced defeat. Throughout the current season, Young has maintained an average of 8.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game across seven matchups. Despite her individual achievements, Ipswich Force continues to strive for success in the league under Young's leadership.
