Top Sacramento State University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Hornets players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Kahlaijah Dean, a 27-year-old guard standing at 5'6'' who graduated from Sacramento State in 2023 and earned the All-Big Sky Conference All-Tournament MVP award that year, currently showcases her skills as a professional player in Australia. In a recent game, Dean, despite her noteworthy performance, was unable to assist the Northside Wizards (3-4) in their matchup last Friday. The seventh-placed Northside Wizards suffered a 95-85 defeat on the road against the second-ranked Meteorettes in the North group. Dean displayed her talent by scoring 14 points, securing 5 rebounds, and providing 6 assists within 35 minutes of play. During the game against the Mackay Meteorettes, Dean once again exhibited a strong performance, contributing 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Despite her remarkable efforts, her team ultimately faced defeat. Throughout the season, Dean has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 15.9 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, 4.9 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game.
