Here is the weekly review of the top performing Rams alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. German basketball champion Christian Sengfelder, a 6'8'' power forward aged 31, boasts an impressive collegiate background having graduated from Boise State in 2018 after playing for Fordham from 2014 to 2017. He was recognized for his academic achievements with the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team award during his time at Fordham. Currently playing professionally in Germany, Sengfelder recently showcased his skills for Ratiopharm Ulm, although his team fell short in a challenging match against the formidable Bamberg. Despite Ulm's loss, Sengfelder delivered a stellar performance, recording a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. His remarkable display against Bamberg earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, reaffirming his status as a champion in the world of basketball. Throughout the season, Sengfelder has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game over 36 appearances, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier finalist.

   #2. In a recent game in the Serbian Meridianbet Kosarkaska lige Srbije, the seasoned player Javontae Hawkins, standing at 6'5'' and playing as a forward/guard, showcased his skills for Spartak. A former Rams alumnus from 2017, Hawkins, now 32 years old, is currently playing professionally in Serbia. In the match against the bottom-ranked Borac CA, Spartak emerged victorious with a score of 75-68 on Tuesday night. Hawkins, in his first season with the team, made a significant impact by scoring 10 points and grabbing 3 rebounds in 24 minutes of play. His performance was instrumental in securing the win for Spartak, positioning them as a finalist in the Serbian league. Despite Spartak's placement at 19th in the Joined in Play-Off group, Hawkins' contribution on the court has been noteworthy. With an average of 11.0 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game in the two games he has played this season, Hawkins has been a key player for the team. His experience and skills have undoubtedly played a crucial role in Spartak's journey towards potential championship success.

   #3. Kyle Rose, a 6'4'' shooting guard who is 26 years old and graduated from Fordham in 2024, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. Despite his efforts, Rose could not help Atleticos de San German (15-7) to beat Leones (8-14) in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In a tough match where the first-placed Atleticos de San German were defeated 88-65 on the road by the lower-ranked Leones, Rose contributed with 8 points in 17 minutes of play. In a recent game against Ponce, Rose showcased his skills on the court by scoring an impressive 8 points and grabbing 1 rebound. However, his team was unable to secure a victory on that occasion. Throughout this season, Rose has been averaging 5.1 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game in the 13 games he has played so far.

   #4. In a recent New Zealand National Basketball League game, the 22-year-old champion Zach Riley, a former Rams alumnus, showcased his skills as a finalist in the Auckland Tuatara's victory over Tauranga. With a commanding 96-71 win, Riley proved to be a major contributor with an impressive performance on the court. Scoring 17 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists in 32 minutes of play, he displayed his versatility and talent, despite it being his rookie season in professional basketball. Auckland Tuatara, currently placed third in the league with a record of 7-2, has benefitted greatly from Riley's standout abilities. Furthermore, Riley's exceptional year continues to shine individually, as he maintains impressive statistics across the season. Averaging 18.4 points per game, 6.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in nine games, he has proven himself as a standout player in the league. His remarkable performance in the recent game against Tauranga solidified his position as the champion of the match, further establishing his presence as a rising star in New Zealand basketball.

   #5. Nigerian player Chuba Ohams, a 6'9'' forward aged 28, who graduated from Fordham in 2022 and received the All-Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player of the Year award, currently plays professionally in Mexico. In a recent game for Angeles de Ciudad de Mexico, despite Ohams' commendable performance, the team suffered a defeat against the higher-ranked (#4) Zonkeys in Tijuana with a final score of 83-93. Ohams displayed his skills on the court by contributing 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 29 minutes of gameplay. His notable performance showcased his talent and dedication to his team. Throughout the season, Ohams has maintained solid statistics with an average of 12.7 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game (leading the league in this category), 1.8 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game across 41 games. Despite his team's recent loss, Ohams continues to be a standout player with his consistent contributions and impressive stats. It's worth noting that Ohams is a naturalized Nigerian player, showcasing his commitment to both his sport and his heritage.

   #6. Cape Verdean player Williams Tavares, standing at 6'6'' and at 30 years old, is a former Rams alumnus from 2018 who currently plays professionally in Senegal. Recently, he participated in a match for ASCVD against Al Ahly Cairo in the Basketball Africa League. During the game, Tavares made a noteworthy contribution by scoring 7 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in just 11 minutes of play. Despite his solid performance, his team faced a tough challenge and ended up losing to Al Ahly with a final score of 76-87. Tavares, known for his skills on the court, has been consistent this year, averaging 6.0 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game over two matches. It is worth noting that Tavares is a naturalized American, showcasing his versatility and experience in the sport.
