Every week we bring you a list of the top former Red Storm players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced 6'6'' forward Justin Brownlee, a 38-year-old St. John's graduate from 2011 who currently plays professionally in the Philippines, showcased his skill and leadership as he guided the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings to a 109-101 victory over the closely-ranked Painters (9-3) in a thrilling Filipino Philippine Basketball Association derby game on Friday night. In this highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 ranked teams, Brownlee's standout performance was pivotal in securing the win for his team. The veteran player not only earned the title of MVP of the game but also achieved a double-double with an impressive 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists in 40 minutes of play. His contributions on the court were instrumental in leading the Kings to triumph over Rain or Shine, showcasing his prowess as a champion player. With an exceptional season thus far, Brownlee has been consistently delivering remarkable stats, averaging 30.1 points per game (ranking third best in the league), along with 8.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. His stellar performance has garnered recognition, including the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a champion in the league. It is noteworthy that Brownlee holds both American and Filipino citizenship, allowing him to compete in the Philippines as a domestic player. As a former participant in the Eurobasket Summer League, a renowned platform for players seeking opportunities to play basketball internationally, Brownlee's journey reflects his dedication and success as a finalist in the basketball arena.

   #2. Ghanaian Christopher Ledlum, a 6'6'' small forward and 25-year-old Red Storm alum from the class of 2024, currently playing professionally in Germany, unfortunately could not lead Ratiopharm Ulm (19-15) to victory in their recent game last Monday. Despite Ledlum's strong performance, Ulm was narrowly defeated 90-87 on the road by the third-ranked Bamberg. Ledlum showcased his skills by achieving a double-double, scoring 10 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and contributing 5 assists in just 23 minutes of play. Even though Ledlum put up an impressive performance against Bamberg, recording 10 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists, his team was unable to secure the win. Ledlum has been having a standout season individually, boasting impressive stats with averages of 15.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. It's worth noting that Ledlum is a naturalized American player.

   #3. Daniss Jenkins, a 24-year-old guard standing at 6'4" who graduated from St. John's in 2024 and received the All-Big East Second Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons. In their recent game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, despite Jenkins' stellar performance, the Detroit Pistons (60-22) suffered a crushing 125-94 defeat. Jenkins emerged as the top scorer for his team, contributing 17 points along with 5 assists during his 35 minutes on the court. This season marks Jenkins' debut with the team, and he has showcased promising statistics, averaging 9.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Despite his notable individual efforts, the Pistons fell short in securing the victory against the Cavaliers.

   #4. Julian Champagnie, a 6'7'' forward and 24-year-old Red Storm alum from the class of 2022, who received the USBWA All-District II Team award that year, is currently showcasing his talents as a professional player in the NBA. Recently, he played a key role in leading the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a final score of 122-115. In this game, Champagnie displayed his skillset by contributing 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks during his impressive 45 minutes on the court. Despite the San Antonio Spurs holding a somewhat lackluster record of 62-21 this season, Champagnie's stellar performance helped secure their third consecutive win. Against the OKC Thunder, Champagnie delivered an exceptional performance, notching 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist, which played a crucial role in his team emerging as the finalist. His noteworthy statistics this season include averaging 11.0 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game, showcasing his significant impact on the team's success.

   #5. Bosnia and Herzegovina's Amar Alibegovic, a 6'9'' power forward at 31 years old who graduated from St. John's in 2018 and currently plays professionally in Spain, found himself unable to lead Coviran Granada (6-27) to victory in their recent game last Sunday. Despite his standout performance, the struggling Granada team was soundly defeated 121-85 by the much higher-ranked Baskonia, who currently holds the #4 position in the standings. Alibegovic showcased his skills by finishing as the second highest scorer of the game with 19 points while also contributing 6 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play. Although he put up an impressive performance against Baskonia, his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, Alibegovic's team faces a crucial match ahead. Throughout the season, Alibegovic has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Additionally, it is worth noting that Alibegovic holds Italian nationality, adding to his international background and experience in the world of basketball.

   #6. D'Angelo Harrison, a 6'4'' guard and 32-year-old Red Storm alumni from the class of 2015, is currently playing professionally in Italy. In a recent game, he led Roseto to a decisive 100-84 victory over the closely-ranked Puglia in the Italian Serie A2, the country's second division. Harrison's exceptional performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he impressively scored 34 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, and made 3 steals in just 31 minutes on the court. His standout display against Puglia showcased his skills and cemented his reputation as a champion player. Throughout the season, Harrison has maintained high statistics, averaging 25.5 points per game (leading the league), 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals (second best in the league). His consistent contributions and remarkable talent have been instrumental in his team's success, underscoring his status as a finalist player in the league.

   #7. Sean Conway, a 6'5'' guard who recently graduated from St. John's University in 2024, is currently playing professionally in Australia. Despite his impressive performance, the ninth-placed Perth Redbacks, with a record of 4-6, were narrowly defeated 106-105 by the twelfth-ranked Magic in a recent game in the West group. Conway, the team's champion, emerged as the top scorer with 37 points and contributed 5 rebounds in just 30 minutes of play. In the match against the Mandurah Magic, Conway displayed his skills on the court by scoring 37 points, securing 5 rebounds, and distributing 2 assists. Despite his outstanding efforts, the Perth Redbacks were unable to secure the victory. Conway's individual performance throughout the season has been exceptional, with impressive averages of 21.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, solidifying his reputation as a finalist player.

   #8. Puerto Rican basketball player Arnaldo Barea, a towering 6'8'' center and 28-year-old Red Storm alumni from the class of 2021, showcased his skills while playing professionally in Hungary. In a recent match, Barea played a crucial role in Szombathely's triumph over the fifth-ranked Szolnok, with a final score of 89-78 in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnoksag I/A on Friday night. Demonstrating his versatility and prowess on the court, he achieved a double-double by contributing 10 points and securing an equal number of rebounds in just 26 minutes of play. Barea's exceptional performance against Szolnok included scoring 10 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. His impactful contribution significantly aided his team in clinching the victory, solidifying his reputation as a true champion in the game. Throughout the season, Barea has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 10.4 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game (ranking fourth best in the league), and 1.6 assists per game. His consistent performance and valuable contributions highlight his significance as a key player for Szombathely, cementing his status as a standout finalist on the court.

   #9. Justin Simon, a 6'5'' shooting guard who is 30 years old and graduated from St. John's in 2019, is currently playing professionally in Germany. He was honored with the All-Big East Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019. Recently, he played alongside Christopher Ledlum in the last German easyCredit BBL game, where despite his efforts, his team, Ratiopharm Ulm, fell short against Bamberg with a close score of 90-87. In this game, Simon contributed 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist in just 11 minutes of play. Although he showcased his skills on the court, his team was unable to secure the win. Throughout the season, Simon has been maintaining solid averages of 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, making him one of the standout players in the league.

   #10. Dominican Republic's Joel Soriano, a 6'11'' center at 26 years old and a Red Storm alumni from 2024, currently plays professionally in Germany. He is teammates with the previously mentioned Christopher Ledlum and recently competed in the German easyCredit BBL game against Justin Simon of the opposing team. Despite Soriano's efforts, his team, Ratiopharm Ulm, was unable to secure a victory against Bamberg, falling short with a close score of 90-87. Soriano displayed his skills on the court by scoring 6 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in just 18 minutes of play. Throughout the season, Soriano has maintained an average of 9.2 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game, solidifying his position as a key player on the team.
