We bring you last week's top former Hawkeyes players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Experienced champion Jarrod Uthoff, a 6'9'' power forward at 33 years old, who graduated from Iowa in 2016 and received the CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-Americans of the Year award that same year, currently plays professionally in Italy. In the recent Italian Serie A match, he led Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste to a thrilling 92-90 victory against the second-ranked Brescia (21-7) on Saturday night. Uthoff showcased his skills by contributing 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in just 25 minutes of play, demonstrating his prowess on the court. Despite his team's current placement at eighth in the league with a record of 13-16, Uthoff's exceptional performance against Brescia highlighted his abilities as a true champion and leader on the court. His remarkable display of 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist undoubtedly played a vital role in securing the victory for his team. Throughout the season, Uthoff has maintained an average of 7.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, further solidifying his contribution to the team as a key player and finalist.

#2. Canadian Ben Krikke, a 6'9'' center/forward and 24-year-old alumni of the Hawkeyes from the class of 2024, currently plays professionally in Lithuania. Despite his notable Big Ten All-Sportsmanship Team award in 2024, Krikke was unable to lead Jonava (9-23) to victory in their recent game last Sunday. In a closely contested match on the road against the higher-ranked Neptunas (#3), Jonava was defeated 95-89. Krikke delivered a commendable performance by contributing 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 29 minutes of play, making him the second-highest scorer for his team. Although he displayed skill and determination, Jonava could not secure the win against the formidable Neptunas squad. With just one more game remaining in the Regular Season, Krikke's team faces a crucial match ahead. Despite the loss, Krikke has maintained solid statistics throughout the season, averaging 11.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

#3. Tony Perkins, a 6'4'' guard who is 24 years old and graduated from Missouri in 2025, showcased his skills in a recent game in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL. Playing for ERA Basketball Nymburk, Perkins helped lead his team to a resounding 116-79 victory over the fifth-ranked Opava team. Despite only playing for 10 minutes, Perkins managed to record 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, highlighting his impact on the game. ERA Basketball Nymburk currently holds the top spot in the Places 1-8 group, thanks in part to their sixth consecutive victory. Perkins' stellar performance against Opava, where he contributed 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists, played a crucial role in securing the win for his team. His consistent contributions on the court exemplify why he is considered a champion. Throughout the season, Perkins has maintained solid averages of 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, further solidifying his importance to the team. His dedication and talent make him a key player for ERA Basketball Nymburk as they continue their quest to be crowned champions of the league.

#4. British champion Gabriel Olaseni, a 34-year-old center standing at 6'10'' and an alumnus of the Hawkeyes from 2015, currently plays professionally in Spain. Despite his commendable efforts, Olaseni, playing for Casademont Zaragoza, could not lead his team to victory against BAXI Manresa in the Spanish Liga Endesa. In his debut game of the season for Casademont Zaragoza, Olaseni managed to score 7 points in just 11 minutes of play. Unfortunately, Casademont Zaragoza suffered a significant 101-83 loss against the higher-ranked BAXI Manresa, marking their fourth consecutive defeat. Olaseni's individual performance included 7 points and 1 rebound, yet it was not enough to secure a win for his team.

#5. Tyler Cook, a 6'9'' power forward who graduated from Iowa in 2019 and received the USBWA All-District VI Team award that year, is currently showcasing his skills playing professionally in Puerto Rico. In a recent game, he played a pivotal role in Osos de Manati's victory over the fourth-ranked Indios with a score of 106-92 in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. Despite being on the court for only 16 minutes, Cook managed to contribute significantly with 6 points and 6 assists. Osos de Manati, currently holding the fifth position in Group B, benefitted greatly from Cook's performance. In another match against Mayaguez, he demonstrated his versatility by scoring 6 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 6 assists, ultimately leading his team to a win. His impressive statistics this season, averaging 13.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, further solidify his position as a true champion on the court.

#6. Andrew Thelwell, a 6'3'' guard and 24-year-old former Hawkeyes alumnus from 2025, currently plays professionally in France. Recently, Thelwell, a champion in his own right, found himself unable to lead Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez to victory against Chorale de Roanne. Despite his valiant effort, scoring 6 points and securing 1 rebound in 18 minutes of play, his team suffered a crushing defeat by 26 points with a final score of 108-82. Throughout the season, the finalist Thelwell has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Noteworthy is the fact that Thelwell, a naturalized American, continues to demonstrate his skill and dedication on the court, striving for success with each game.
