Here is the weekly review of the top performing Wolves alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of Alexander Abreu (6 points), Ryan Godfrey (10 points), and Kadeim Jones (25 points).

#1. Alexander Abreu, an experienced 34-year-old Puerto Rican basketball player standing at 5'11'' and a graduate of UWG in 2015, was instrumental in helping his team win the GSC Regular Season Co-Champion title in that same year. Currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Abreu recently competed for Osos de Manati against Mets in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. Despite his efforts, Abreu scored 6 points in 24 minutes, but his team narrowly lost 88-87 on the road to the Mets, who hold the fourth position in Group B. In a separate game against Guaynabo, Abreu showcased his skills by contributing 6 points and 2 rebounds, although his team suffered a defeat. Throughout this season, Abreu has maintained an average of 3.0 points per game.

#2. Experienced Australian basketball player Ryan Godfrey, a 6'2'' guard at 36 years old and a Wolves alum from 2014 who currently plays professionally in Australia, played a crucial role in his team's dominant performance against the second-ranked Tigers, securing a convincing 115-100 victory in the Australian NBL One, the second division league, on Saturday night. In this highly anticipated matchup between two of the top 3 teams in the West group, Godfrey's team emerged victorious, with the Rockingham Flames (8-2) maintaining their top position in the standings. Godfrey's contribution to the game was notable, as he scored 10 points and grabbed 1 rebound in just 24 minutes of play. This marked his team's fourth consecutive win, highlighting their strong form and momentum in the competition. His impactful performance against Willetton Tigers showcased his skills and experience, demonstrating the qualities of a true champion on the court. Throughout the season, Godfrey has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. His consistent contributions and leadership have been instrumental in his team's success, positioning him as a key player and a finalist in the league.

#3. Kadeim Jones, a 27-year-old 6'3'' guard who graduated from UWG in 2022 and received the All-GSC Second Team award that year, currently plays professionally in El Salvador. In a recent game last Saturday, despite his exceptional performance, Jones could not lead his team Ahuachapan (1-12) to victory against the higher-ranked Santiagueno (#8). Ahuachapan was ultimately defeated 77-67 in Usultan, with Jones emerging as the top scorer with an impressive 25 points. Additionally, he contributed 7 rebounds and 9 assists during the 40 minutes he played. Despite Jones' remarkable individual season with impressive statistics averaging 22.5 points per game (ranking fourth best in the league), 7.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3.8 steals per game (leading the league), his team has faced challenges in securing wins. Jones, a naturalized Laotian, continues to showcase his talent and skill on the court, striving to make an impact as a champion player in the league.

#4. Australian champion Ovie Magbegor, a 6'5'' forward and 27-year-old Wolves alumni from 2018, showcased his skills by assisting the Eltham Wildcats to a decisive 95-77 victory against the 14th-ranked Pioneers in the Australian NBL One, the second division of Australian basketball, on Sunday night. Despite scoring only 2 points in 7 minutes on the court, Magbegor played a crucial role in securing the win for his team. The Eltham Wildcats, currently placed fourth in the South group with an 8-3 record, have benefited from Magbegor's presence for seven seasons now. In a recent game against Mt. Gambier, Magbegor's 2 points proved to be vital in leading his team to victory, ultimately earning him the esteemed title of champion in that game. Throughout this season, Magbegor has been averaging 2.9 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game, demonstrating his consistent contribution to the team.
