We bring you last week's top former Lobos players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Nigerian basketball player Nelly Joseph, a 6'10'' center at 24 years old, graduated from New Mexico in 2025. During his time there, he played a pivotal role in helping his team win the MWC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently, Joseph is playing professionally in France. In a recent game for SIG Strasbourg against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket, Joseph's team unfortunately suffered a loss with a score of 81-89. Despite his commendable performance where he scored 13 points and secured 8 rebounds in 28 minutes of play, Strasbourg was unable to secure the victory against the higher-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket, who holds the #4 position. With only two games remaining in the Regular Season, every match becomes crucial for the team's standing. Joseph's consistent performance throughout the season is evident in his impressive statistics, averaging 12.8 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game (leading the league in this category), and 1.4 assists per game over the course of 28 games played so far.

#2. Finnish player Mustapha Amzil, a 6'9'' forward who is 24 years old and an alumnus of Lobos from the class of 2025, played a crucial role in helping his team clinch the MWC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Kosovo, he recently made a significant impact in Trepca's victory over the closely-ranked Bashkimi with a final score of 94-79 in the Kosovan Art Motion Superliga. In this standout performance on a Sunday night, Amzil showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds, along with contributing 3 assists, all in just 31 minutes of play. This remarkable display is even more impressive considering it is only his debut season in professional basketball. The game between Trepca and Bashkimi was a highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 ranked teams, with Trepca currently holding the top spot in the league with a record of 25-3. Notably, this win marked Trepca's 20th consecutive victory, highlighting the team's exceptional form. Amzil's stellar performance against Bashkimi, where he excelled in scoring, rebounding, and facilitating plays, was instrumental in securing the win for his team. His outstanding efforts on the court garnered him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, recognizing his exceptional achievement. Throughout this season, Amzil has maintained solid averages of 10.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game across 34 appearances.

#3. Experienced champion Alex Kirk, a 6'11'' center who is 34 years old and graduated from N.Mexico in 2014, is currently playing professionally in Japan. Recently, he played a key role in securing an impressive victory for his team, the Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (42-18), who are placed third in the West group of the Japanese B1 League. In another important matchup against Nagoya DD, Kirk once again showcased his skills by scoring 10 points and securing 5 rebounds, aiding his team in securing another victory. His consistent and outstanding performances have been instrumental in his team's success this season. Throughout the year, Kirk has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game over the course of 63 games. It is notable that Kirk holds both American and Japanese citizenship, allowing him to play in Japan as a domestic player, further enhancing his value to the team. His experience, skill, and dual citizenship make him a valuable asset and a true champion on the court.
