Every week we bring you a list of the top former Knights players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Darnell Edge, a 6'2'' point guard who graduated from FDU in 2019 at the age of 28, is currently playing professionally in Poland. Recently, he showcased his skills by leading Dziki Warszawa to a decisive 107-92 victory over the closely-ranked Trefl in the Polish Orlen Basket Liga. This win marked his team's fifth consecutive victory, propelling them to fifth place in the league standings.
In this impressive performance, Edge stood out as the champion of the game, earning the MVP title with an exceptional stat line of 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists in just 31 minutes of play. His remarkable contributions on both ends of the court were crucial in securing the victory for his team.
Throughout the season, Edge has consistently delivered strong performances, averaging 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. His all-around skills and leadership on the court have undoubtedly played a significant role in his team's success, making him a standout player in the league.
#2. Grant Singleton, a 25-year-old point guard standing at 6'0'' and a former Knights alumni from 2023 who received the All-NEC Second Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Bulgaria. Recently, he played for Lokomotiv Plovdiv but unfortunately couldn't lead them to victory in their game against the top-ranked Rilski last Sunday. Despite his commendable performance where he scored 14 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists in just 22 minutes of play, Lokomotiv Plovdiv ended up losing 87-79 on the road.
This season marks Singleton's debut with Lokomotiv Plovdiv, and he has been showcasing his skills effectively. His overall stats speak volumes about his contribution to the team, averaging 15.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. In the recent game against Rilski, Singleton once again displayed his talent by putting up an impressive performance, demonstrating his value as a key player for his team. Despite his individual success, the team fell short against their opponents.
#3. Ansley Almonor, a 24-year-old forward standing at 6'7'', is a Kentucky graduate from the class of 2025. Despite graduating in 2025, he previously played for FDU from 2021 to 2024, during which he received the prestigious All-NEC First Team award. Currently, he is showcasing his talents as a pro player in Finland.
In a recent game, Almonor made a significant impact by contributing to Vilpas' triumph over the league leader, Kataja, with a score of 90-81 in the Finnish Korisliiga. During the game, he displayed his skills by scoring 8 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and providing 1 assist, all within 26 minutes of playtime. This game was a crucial matchup between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6, with Salon Vilpas (22-10) holding the top position.
This season marks Almonor's debut with the team, and he is already proving his worth with an average of 12.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. His stellar performance in the game against Kataja highlights his capabilities as a champion player, as he played a pivotal role in securing the victory for his team.
#4. Ahmed Barba-Bey, a 6'3'' guard and Knights alumni from 2025, currently playing professionally in Australia, showcased his talent by leading the Sydney City Comets to a crucial victory against the tenth-ranked Hornets with a score of 79-74 in the Australian NBL One league (second division) on Saturday night. In a stellar performance, he contributed 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist in 30 minutes of play. The Sydney City Comets, with a record of 5-4, now hold the sixth position in the East group standings.
Barba-Bey's standout display continued as he delivered another impressive performance against Hills H, scoring 13 points, securing 8 rebounds, and providing 1 assist, all of which were pivotal in securing the win for his team. His remarkable contributions on the court were instrumental in guiding his team to success and ultimately emerging as the finalist.
Individually, Barba-Bey has been having an exceptional season, boasting impressive statistics with an average of 16.7 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game. His consistent and impactful performances have undoubtedly played a significant role in his team's success throughout the season.
#5. Elyjah Williams, a 6'7'' forward who is 27 years old, graduated from Northwestern University in 2022. However, he played for Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2017 to 2021, where he received the All-NEC Third Team award in his final year. Currently, he is playing professionally in Japan.
During a recent game, Williams was unable to lead his team, Yokohama Excellence, to victory against the dominant Storks in the Japanese B2 League. Despite his efforts, Yokohama Excellence, who ranked third with a record of 39-21, fell short against the top-ranked Storks, who had a remarkable record of 55-5. Williams managed to score 9 points in 17 minutes of play during the game.
In another match against Kobe S., Williams contributed 9 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists to the game. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team. Throughout the season, Williams has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
#6. Malik Miller, a 30-year-old 6'9'' former Knights alum from 2018 who currently plays professionally in Australia, unfortunately could not lead the struggling Wyndham Devils (1-6) to victory in their recent game. Despite his commendable efforts, the underperforming Wyndham team suffered a significant 92-72 defeat against the formidable Warriors, who are ranked #3 in the league.
During the game, Miller displayed his skills by scoring 14 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and blocking 2 shots throughout the 38 minutes he played. His notable performance against the Warriors showcased his talent and contribution to the team, even though they were unable to secure the win.
Individually, Malik Miller has been having an exceptional season with impressive statistics, averaging 19.3 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. His consistent high-level performance demonstrates his value as a champion player in the league.
#7. In a recent game on Tuesday night, the 7'0'' center, 21-year-old Russian Cyril Martynov, who graduated from FDU in 2026 and now plays professionally in Canada, played a crucial role in the Ottawa Blackjacks' 93-88 victory over the Surge in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Despite only scoring one point in 8 minutes on the court, Martynov's contribution was instrumental in securing the win for his team.
Moreover, Martynov showcased his skills in another game against Calgary, where he scored 1 point and grabbed 2 rebounds, aiding his team in clinching the victory and ultimately being crowned the champion. Throughout this season, Martynov maintains an average of 0.5 points per game, showcasing his consistency and commitment to his team's success.
An interesting fact about Martynov is that he holds both American and Russian citizenship, allowing him to play in Russia as a domestic player, further highlighting his versatility and potential in the world of basketball.
