Here is the weekly review of the top performing Owls alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. In a thrilling match on Wednesday night, the experienced champion Markeith Cummings, a 6'6'' small forward aged 37, who graduated from KSU in 2013 and currently plays professionally in Brazil, showcased his skills and determination on the court. Leading Clube de Regatas do Flamengo to a 96-88 victory over the closely-ranked Brasilia (28-10), Cummings proved his worth as a finalist in the Brazilian Novo Basquete Brasil. In an impressive performance, he recorded 20 points in just 21 minutes of play, earning himself the title of MVP for the game.
Despite being placed fifth in the league, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo secured their third consecutive victory, thanks in large part to Cummings' stellar contribution. His remarkable stats of 20 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists against Brasilia were instrumental in securing the win for his team. Throughout the game, Cummings exemplified the qualities of a true champion, displaying his prowess and leadership on the court.
With an average of 9.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game this season, Markeith Cummings continues to prove himself as a valuable asset to his team, consistently performing at a high level and leading them to victory in crucial matches.
#2. Italian Pietro Agostini, a 26-year-old 6'9'' forward and Owls alumnus from 2020, showcased his skills on the court as he led Treviglio to a decisive 86-65 victory over the third-ranked Latina in the Italian Serie B Nazionale on Wednesday night. Agostini's stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he contributed 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists in just 19 minutes of play. This marked a remarkable debut season for Agostini with the team, where he has been a key player in their success.
Treviglio Brianza Basket, currently placed sixth in Group A, has benefited greatly from Agostini's contributions throughout the season. With an impressive average of 8.4 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game, Agostini has consistently proven himself as a valuable asset to the team. His outstanding display against Latina further solidified his reputation as a champion on the court, leading his team to victory and demonstrating his prowess as a top-tier player in the league.
