We bring you last week's top former Bears players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Look at great performance of Mathieu Kamba (10 points), Jordan Howard (5 points), and Elias Cato (11 points).
#1. DR Congolese Mathieu Kamba, a 6'5'' guard who graduated from Cent Arkansas in 2018 and received an All-Southland Conf. Honorable Mention award that year, is currently playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, he played a crucial role in his team's dominant 100-70 victory over the 12th-ranked Cantabria. Despite only playing 23 minutes, Kamba managed to contribute 10 points along with 3 rebounds and 1 assist. This win marked his team's fifth consecutive victory, propelling them to third place in the league standings. With only three games remaining in the Regular Season, each upcoming game becomes increasingly important for the team's playoff prospects.
Kamba's impressive performance against Cantabria showcased his skills and determination on the court, further solidifying his reputation as a champion. This season, he has been averaging 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Additionally, it is worth noting that he holds Canadian nationality, adding to the diversity of his background and experiences as a professional basketball player.
#2. Jordan Howard, a 5'11'' point guard and 30-year-old Bears alumnus from 2018, who received the All-Southland Conference Player of the Year award that year, currently competes professionally in Puerto Rico. Despite his efforts, he could not lead the Cangrejeros de Santurce (6-11) to victory against the Criollos (10-6) in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In the match, he showcased his skills with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in 30 minutes of play.
The Cangrejeros de Santurce, ranked sixth with a 6-11 record, suffered a 95-83 defeat on the road against the second-placed Criollos in Group B, marking their third consecutive loss. Although Howard delivered a commendable performance against Caguas, contributing 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, his team still ended up on the losing side in that game.
Throughout the season, Howard has maintained relatively solid statistics, averaging 12.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. It is notable that he holds both American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing him to play in Puerto Rico as a domestic player.
#3. Australian Elias Cato, standing at 6'9'' and playing as a guard/forward, graduated from Cent Arkansas in 2025 and currently competes professionally in the Czech Republic. In a recent game last Tuesday, Cato, a standout player for NH Ostrava with his notable height and skills, unfortunately couldn't prevent his team from suffering a heavy defeat. NH Ostrava, ranked eighth with a 10-26 record, faced a tough challenge against the top-ranked Nymburk in the Places 1-8 group and lost decisively with a score of 116-70 at their home court.
During the game, Cato displayed his talent by contributing 11 points and securing 6 rebounds in just 24 minutes of play. Despite his commendable individual performance, NH Ostrava was unable to overcome the dominant Nymburk team. Throughout the season, Cato has been maintaining solid averages of 9.3 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game, showcasing his consistent contribution to the team's efforts.
#4. French Eddy Kayouloud, a 6'7'' guard/forward who is 26 years old and an alumnus of Bears from 2023, currently plays professionally in France. Recently, he played a significant role in his team's dominant 99-75 victory over the 17th-ranked Calvados in the French ELITE 2 league. In that game, Kayouloud contributed 7 points during his 18 minutes on the court. His team, Champagne Basket Reims, holds the tenth position in the league with a record of 20-17.
As the Regular Season nears its end, Kayouloud's team has one crucial game left to play. This season marks his debut with the team, and he has been showcasing his skills consistently. In a recent game against Caen, Kayouloud delivered an impressive performance with 7 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist, aiding his team in securing a victory. His overall season statistics reflect his impact as a champion player, with averages of 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
#5. Collin Cooper, the 6'2'' guard who is 25 years old and graduated from EKU in 2024, previously played for Cent Arkansas between 2019 and 2023 before turning pro in Romania. In a recent game, Cooper's team Targu Jiu (4-24) faced a tough challenge against Targu Mures (#10) and despite his commendable efforts, they were narrowly edged 92-91. Cooper showcased his skills by scoring 14 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists during the intense 36-minute game.
As the Play-Out Round nears its conclusion with only two games remaining, each match becomes crucial for Targu Jiu. This marks Cooper's debut season with the team, and despite his impressive individual performance against Targu Mures, his team fell short of securing the victory.
Throughout the season, Cooper has maintained high statistics, averaging 17.3 points per game, along with 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals. His contribution on the court has been notable, showcasing his talent and determination as he aims to lead Targu Jiu to success.
#6. Portuguese champion Diogo Seixas, a 6'8'' guard/forward who is 22 years old and an alum of the Bears from 2025, currently plays professionally in Spain. In a recent game, Seixas unfortunately could not lead Ourense to a victory over Oviedo. Even though he managed to score 8 points, grab 3 rebounds, and dish out 2 assists in just 18 minutes of play, his team ultimately fell short, losing 74-70. Despite his consistent contributions, Ourense was unable to come out on top in the match. Throughout the season, Seixas has been averaging 3.8 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game.
#7. Masai Olowokere, a 6'5'' guard who graduated from Cent Arkansas in 2024 and currently plays professionally in Spain, found himself unable to lift Marin (22-4) to victory in their recent game. Despite Olowokere's commendable efforts, the top-ranked Marin team suffered an 86-78 defeat at the hands of Zornotza in Amorebieta-Echano within Group A-B. During the game, Olowokere showcased his skills by scoring 13 points, securing 5 rebounds, and providing 2 assists in 29 minutes of play.
Even though Olowokere displayed an impressive performance against Zornotza, his contributions were not enough to secure a win for Marin. Throughout the season, Olowokere has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
