Every week we bring you a list of the top former Pilots players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced champion TJ Campbell, a 5'10'' point guard who is 38 years old and graduated from Portland in 2010 where he received the All-WCC First Team award, currently plays professionally in France. In a recent game, he displayed his skill and leadership on the court, helping Cholet Basket secure a close 94-91 victory over the tenth-ranked Sluc Nancy (12-17) in the French Betclic ELITE. Despite playing for 27 minutes, Campbell managed to contribute significantly by scoring 5 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 7 assists.
Currently, Cholet Basket holds the fifth position in the league with a record of 18-11. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, Campbell's team faces a critical match ahead. This marks Campbell's fifth season with Cholet Basket, and his performance against Nancy exemplified his value to the team. His consistent performance throughout the season is evident from his averages of 7.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. As a key player, Campbell's exceptional skills and contributions on the court have been instrumental in securing victories for his team, ultimately leading to his title as the champion of the game.
#2. Alec Wintering, a 6'0'' point guard and 31-year-old alumnus of the Pilots from 2017, currently plays professionally in Spain. He recently led Zunder Palencia to a dominating 100-70 victory over the 12th-ranked Cantabria team in the Spanish Primera FEB league, showcasing his talent on the court. Despite playing for only 9 minutes, Wintering managed to score an impressive 11 points, contributing significantly to his team's success.
Zunder Palencia, with a record of 25-7, holds the third position in the league standings, thanks in part to Wintering's consistent performances. Their recent win against Cantabria marked their fifth consecutive victory, highlighting the team's strong momentum as they approach the end of the Regular Season with only three games remaining.
Wintering's impressive stats for the season, averaging 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, demonstrate his valuable contributions to Zunder Palencia. His stellar performance against Cantabria further solidified his reputation as a true champion on the court, showcasing his skills, determination, and leadership abilities.
#3. Australian player Zac Triplett, a 6'5'' guard aged 24 who graduated from Portland in 2021 and currently plays professionally in Australia, showcased his skills as he led Logan Thunder to a convincing 102-83 victory over the tenth-ranked Force (1-3) in the Australian NBL One, the second division, on Saturday night. Triplett's stellar performance included a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists in 36 minutes of play. This victory propelled Logan Thunder (4-0) to the second position in the North group, having won all four games in the Regular Season thus far. Despite the early stage of the season, Triplett's impact on the court has been undeniable.
In a recent match against Ipswich Football Club, Zac Triplett once again proved to be a key player, contributing 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists to secure victory for his team. His exceptional performance was instrumental in Logan Thunder emerging as the champion of the game. Triplett's individual season has been impressive, boasting strong averages of 19.5 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game. With such remarkable stats and contributions, Triplett is proving to be a standout finalist in the Australian NBL One.
#4. Noah Jordan, a standout 6'7'' forward and 25-year-old Pilots alum from 2024, currently showcasing his talent in the professional league TBL, unfortunately could not lead the Hamilton County Huskers (6-10) to victory in their recent game. Despite Jordan's impressive performance, the HC Huskers (#7) suffered a tough 122-116 defeat on the road against the Lebanon Leprechauns.
Jordan, the team's second-highest scorer with 20 points, also contributed 5 rebounds during his 36 minutes on the court. With only four games remaining in The Basketball League Regular Season, each match becomes increasingly crucial for the Huskers.
In the game against the Lebanon Leprechauns, Jordan displayed exceptional skills, scoring 20 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists. Despite his stellar individual efforts, the team fell short of securing the much-needed victory.
Throughout the season, Jordan has been a standout performer, boasting impressive averages of 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. His consistent high-level performance has been a bright spot for the Huskers, as they strive to make a push towards the playoffs.
