We bring you last week's top former Broncos players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. In Wednesday night's game, Mack Smith-McEwen, a 6'3'' guard who graduated from Western Michigan in 2022 and currently plays professionally in North Macedonia, played a crucial role in KK MZT Skopje's victory over the third-ranked Pelister team with a score of 80-75 in the North Macedonian Super League. Smith-McEwen showcased his skills by contributing 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 29 minutes of play. This game, a highlight of the round, featured a showdown between two top-ranked teams in group Places 1-6, with KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (22-5) securing the top spot.
Smith-McEwen's remarkable performance included scoring 13 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and providing 1 assist against Pelister, demonstrating his prowess on the court and leading his team to victory. With an impressive season average of 13.4 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 4.2 assists per game in the 25 games he has played so far, Smith-McEwen has solidified his position as a champion in the game and a key player for his team.
#2. Tucker Haymond, a 6'5" guard and 31-year-old Broncos alumnus from 2017, is currently playing professionally in Japan. In a recent game, he played a crucial role in leading the Kagawa Five Arrows to a resounding victory over the fifth-ranked Albirex, with a scoreline of 94-71 in favor of his team in the Japanese B3 League. This standout performance earned him the title of MVP for the game, as he contributed significantly with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 21 minutes of play.
As a key player for the Kagawa Five Arrows, Haymond has been instrumental in his team's success, helping them secure the top spot in the league with a record of 44-8. In another game against Niigata A, he once again showcased his skills by scoring an impressive 20 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists, ultimately leading his team to victory and earning him the title of the game's champion.

#3. Owen Lobsinger, a 6'9'' forward who is 23 years old and a recent graduate of Western Michigan University in 2025, is currently playing professionally in Australia. In a recent Australian NBL One game, Lobsinger played a crucial role in leading the Nunawading Spectres to a 94-77 victory over the third-ranked Wildcats, who had a 7-3 record. This game took place on Sunday night and was considered the highlight of the round as it featured two of the top 3 ranked teams in the South division. The Nunawading Spectres, with a record of 8-2, are currently sitting at the top of the standings.
Lobsinger's performance was particularly noteworthy as he scored 19 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, and also contributed 2 assists in just 26 minutes of play. This impressive display is even more remarkable considering that this is only his first season playing professional basketball. His standout performance on the court was instrumental in securing the victory for his team, making him the champion of the game.
This win marked the fifth consecutive victory for Lobsinger's team, showcasing their strong form in the competition. #4. Experienced champion Flenard Whitfield, a 6'8'' forward at 36 years old and an alumnus of the Broncos from 2012, currently plays professionally in Luxembourg. In a recent game, he led Racing to a decisive 90-79 victory over the third-ranked Musel Pikes with his impressive performance. Despite facing tough competition, Whitfield managed to score 12 points and secure 9 rebounds in just 20 minutes of play.
This game was a highly anticipated matchup between two top 3 ranked teams in the Play-Out group, and Racing Luxembourg, currently placed second, emerged victorious thanks to Whitfield's contributions. This win marked his team's fifth consecutive victory, showcasing their strong form in the competition.
Whitfield's consistent performance throughout the season is reflected in his solid statistics, averaging 11.2 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game in 14 appearances. His dedication and skill on the court have undoubtedly been instrumental in Racing's success, propelling them towards the top of the standings. With Whitfield's leadership and talent, Racing Luxembourg looks poised to continue their impressive run and potentially secure the title of champion.
