We bring you last week's top former Cardinal players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced champion Anthony Brown, a 6'7'' small forward at 33 years old who graduated from Stanford in 2015 and helped them win the NIT that year, is currently playing professionally in Turkey. Recently, he made a significant impact on Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul's victory over the 13th-ranked Petkimspor with a score of 81-69 in the Turkish ING Basketbol Super Ligi on Tuesday night. Brown showcased his skills by scoring 9 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and providing 4 assists, including a perfect 5-for-5 performance from the free-throw line, all within 28 minutes of play.
Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul, with a record of 24-5, currently holds the second position in the league standings, with Brown playing a vital role in their sixth consecutive win. With only two games remaining in the Regular Season, every match becomes crucial for the team's final standing. This marks Brown's debut season with the team, where he has been maintaining an average of 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. His exceptional performance against Petkim not only contributed to the team's success in that game but also showcased his value as a finalist in helping his team secure victories.
#2. Brazilian champion Oscar Da Silva, a 6'9'' forward/center who is 27 years old and an alum of Cardinal from 2021, is currently playing professionally in Germany. He recently played a key role in FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball's victory over the 11th-ranked EWE Baskets with a score of 77-67 in the German easyCredit BBL on Sunday night, contributing 7 points in 25 minutes of play. FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball, with a record of 29-5, is currently at the top of the league standings, having secured their ninth consecutive win. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, their upcoming match will be crucial for their final standing.
In a standout performance against Oldenburg, Da Silva showcased his skills by scoring 7 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists. His exceptional play was instrumental in leading his team to victory, earning him the title of champion of the game. Throughout this season, Da Silva has maintained solid averages of 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. It is also noteworthy that he holds both American and Brazilian citizenship, allowing him to play in Brazil as a domestic player.
#3. Australian Isaac White, a 27-year-old guard standing at 6'2" and a graduate of CBU in 2021, showcased his basketball prowess as a key player for the Rockingham Flames in a recent Australian NBL One match. The Rockingham Flames emerged victorious with a convincing 114-93 win over the sixth-ranked Wanneroo team. White played a pivotal role in this triumph, recording an impressive double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while also contributing 7 assists during his 38 minutes on the court.
Having previously played for Stanford between 2017 and 2020, White's experience and skills were on full display as he led his team to success in the game. The Rockingham Flames, currently ranked third in the West group, benefitted greatly from White's exceptional performance against Joondalup W, where his 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists were instrumental in securing another victory for the team.
Throughout the season, White has maintained high statistics, averaging 29.8 points per game (second best in the league), along with 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. His consistent and stellar contributions on the court have undoubtedly solidified his position as a standout player in the league.
#4. Bryce Wills, a 6'6'' forward and 25-year-old Cardinal alumnus from the class of 2021, who received the Pac All-Defensive Honorable Mention award that year, is currently playing professionally in France. Despite his efforts, Wills was unable to lead ESSM Le Portel Cote d'Opale (1-28) to victory against Chalon/Saor (15-14) in the French Betclic ELITE league. In a valiant effort, he contributed 9 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks in 33 minutes of play. However, his team, the bottom-ranked ESSM Le Portel Cote d'Opale, suffered a crushing 93-58 defeat on the road against the higher-ranked Chalon/Saor (#9), marking their 23rd consecutive loss.

This season marks Wills' debut with the team, where he has showcased his skills by averaging 8.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Despite his solid performance against Chalon/Saor, the team was unable to secure a victory, emphasizing the challenging season they have faced.
