We bring you last week's top former Friars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Ed Croswell, a 26-year-old, 6'8'' forward who graduated from Providence in 2023 and received the Portsmouth Invitational All-Tournament Team award in the same year, is currently playing professional basketball in Italy. In a recent game, he led Treviso to a thrilling victory over the sixth-ranked Reggio Emilia with a close score of 78-77 in the Italian Serie A. Croswell's outstanding performance earned him the MVP title of the game as he scored 16 points, secured 4 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots in 30 minutes of play. This remarkable display of skill is particularly impressive considering that he is only in his third season of professional basketball. Nutribullet Treviso Basket, currently ranked 12th in the league with a record of 10-19, has been on a winning streak, with this victory marking their fourth consecutive win. Despite the Regular Season coming to an end, Croswell continues to excel, averaging 15.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. His exceptional performance against Reggio Emilia truly highlights his capabilities as a champion on the court.

#2. Davonte Gaines, a 26-year-old, 6'7'' guard and Friars alumnus from the class of 2024, showcased his talent as a professional basketball player in Mexico. Playing for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon, he played a crucial role in their recent victory against the seventh-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis. In the game, Gaines scored 19 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists in 38 minutes of play. This impressive performance is even more notable considering it is only his second season in professional basketball. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon currently holds the third position in the league with a record of 21-15. Gaines' standout display on the court not only helped secure the much-needed victory for his team after three consecutive losses but also highlighted his status as a true champion. His contributions were instrumental in guiding his team to success against Los Mochis. Throughout the season, Gaines has maintained solid statistics, with averages of 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His consistent performance and dedication to the game position him as a formidable force in the league, showcasing his potential to excel as a finalist.

#3. Canadian Kalif Young, a 6'9'' center who graduated from Providence in 2020, is currently playing professionally in Romania. In a recent game, he played a significant role in Oradea's victory over Dinamo Bucuresti, a closely-ranked opponent with a record of 20-8, in the Romanian Liga Nationala Baschet de Masculin. Young's performance included contributing 9 points, securing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in 24 minutes of play. This game was a pivotal matchup between two top 4 ranked teams, with CSM CSU Oradea (23-5) holding the top spot in the league standings. This win marked Young's team's third consecutive victory, highlighting their strong form in the league. Young, in his first season with the team, demonstrated his skills as a finalist by delivering a noteworthy performance on the court. Throughout the season, he has been averaging 8.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, showcasing his value as a key player for Oradea.

#4. Ghanaian Ben Bentil, a 6'9'' forward/center who is 31 years old and an alum of the Friars from 2016, currently plays professionally in Taiwan. Despite his remarkable performance, Bentil could not assist the Formosa Dreamers (22-14) in their recent game last Saturday. Despite Bentil's standout performance where he scored 27 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and provided 3 assists in 34 minutes, the Dreamers were narrowly defeated 97-94 on the road by the lower-ranked Lioneers (#3). Bentil has been a standout player individually this season, boasting impressive statistics with an average of 19.3 points per game, 10.7 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game. Despite his impressive numbers and efforts, his team was unable to secure the win in the recent game against the Lioneers. It is worth noting that Bentil is a naturalized American.

#5. David Duke Jr., a 6'4'' guard who graduated from Providence in 2021 and received the USBWA All-District I Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Spain. Recently, Duke Jr. was unable to lead BAXI Manresa (12-18) to a victory over MoraBanc Andorra (9-21) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his efforts, Duke Jr. only managed to score 4 points in 15 minutes of gameplay as his team suffered a 104-94 defeat against the lower-ranked MoraBanc team (#16). With just four games remaining in the Regular Season, each match is now crucial for BAXI Manresa. In the game against Andorra, Duke Jr. displayed a commendable performance by contributing 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. However, despite his individual efforts, his team could not secure the win. Throughout this season, Duke Jr. has been averaging 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, showcasing his skills and determination on the court.

#6. Wesley Cardet Jr., a talented guard standing at 6'6'' and a distinguished Friars alumnus from 2025, is currently showcasing his skills playing professionally in Israel. In a recent game, despite Cardet Jr.'s commendable performance, he was unable to lead Hapoel Nofar Energy Galil Elyon (6-17) to victory against Hapoel Holon. Despite his efforts, H. Galil Elyon suffered a crushing 103-76 defeat at the hands of the higher-ranked opponent, ranked #6 in the league. Cardet Jr. displayed his prowess on the court by scoring an impressive 10 points and securing 1 rebound in the game. However, his individual performance was not enough to secure a win for his team. Throughout the season, Cardet Jr. has been averaging 6.5 points per game, along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, showcasing his value as a key player for his team.

#7. British champion Noah Horchler, a 6'9'' power forward who is 28 years old and graduated from Providence in 2022, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. Despite his best efforts, Horchler and his team, Santeros de Aguada, were unable to overcome Capitanes in a recent matchup. Horchler put up a solid performance, contributing 6 points and 6 rebounds in 22 minutes of play, but unfortunately, his team suffered a 92-81 defeat. In another game against Arecibo, Horchler once again displayed his skills by scoring 6 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Despite his strong showing, his team fell short of securing the victory. Throughout this season, Horchler has maintained an average of 8.4 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game. It is worth noting that Horchler is a naturalized British player with notable achievements, including being a USBWA All-District I Team finalist in 2022.

#8. Maliek White, a 6'3'' guard and 27-year-old Friars alumnus from 2020, showcased his skills as a professional basketball player in Hungary. In a recent game against the fourth-ranked ZTE KK, White played a crucial role in his team's convincing 94-78 victory. He displayed his versatility by scoring 7 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and distributing 4 assists in just 24 minutes of play. White's performance against ZTE KK was truly remarkable, as he not only contributed offensively but also made an impact on the boards and in setting up his teammates. His efforts were key in securing the win for his team, ultimately leading them to triumph as the champion of the game. Throughout the season, White has been a consistent performer, averaging 8.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. His all-around contributions on the court make him a valuable asset to his team as they strive for success in the league.

#9. Clifton Moore, a 6'10'' center who graduated from Providence in 2023 and currently plays professionally in France, recently faced off against Le Mans with his team, Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball. Despite his efforts, Moore could not help his team secure a victory, falling short in a close match that ended 88-85. During the game, Moore put up a valiant effort, contributing 2 points and 5 rebounds in just 13 minutes of play. Even though he showcased a solid performance, his team was unable to emerge victorious against their opponents. This game may not be considered one of Moore's best performances, but he continues to be a key player for his team this season. Throughout the season, Moore has been averaging 6.1 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game, demonstrating his consistency and contribution to the team's overall performance. Despite the setback in the recent game against Le Mans, Moore remains a dedicated player and an essential part of Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball's lineup.
