Every week we bring you a list of the top former Tribe players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Terry Tarpey, a 6'5'' small forward who graduated from William & Mary in 2016 and received the All-CAA Defensive Player of the Year award, currently plays professionally in France. In a recent game, he made a significant impact as AS Monaco Basket emerged victorious against the seventh-ranked SIG Strasbourg with a score of 118-114. Tarpey contributed 9 points and 3 rebounds in 25 minutes of play, showcasing his skills on the court.
AS Monaco Basket, leading the league with a record of 23-5, is in a strong position as the regular season nears its end, with only two games remaining. Every game now holds crucial importance as teams vie for positions in the playoffs.
Tarpey's performance against Strasbourg was instrumental in securing the win for his team, further solidifying his role as a key player in their pursuit of becoming the champion. This season, he has been averaging 5.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game over 25 appearances.
Notably, Tarpey holds both American and French citizenship, allowing him to play in France as a domestic player, a valuable asset for his team's success as they aim to reach the final.
#2. Experienced champion Marcus Thornton, a 6'4'' guard who is 33 years old and an alumnus of Tribe from 2015, currently plays professionally in Romania. In the recent game, Thornton, who was the All-CAA Player of the Year in 2015, showcased his skills for Pitesti despite their 72-79 loss at home to the top-ranked Oradea team.
Even though Pitesti suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, Thornton stood out as the leading scorer with 19 points in 33 minutes of play. His impressive performance included not only scoring but also contributing with 3 rebounds and 2 assists against Oradea. Although he has been performing well this season with averages of 14.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in the 31 games he has played so far, his individual efforts were not enough to secure a victory for his team in the latest match against the formidable Oradea.
#3. Nathan Knight, a 6'10'' forward/center who graduated from William & Mary in 2020, is currently playing professionally in South Korea. Recently, he played a crucial role in the Sono Skygunners' victory over the league-leading Sakers with a final score of 90-80 in the South Korean Basketball League. In the game on Monday night, Knight demonstrated his skills by scoring 10 points, securing 6 rebounds, providing 3 assists, and blocking 2 shots in 33 minutes of play. His performance was instrumental in securing the win for his team, positioning him as a true champion on the court.
Despite the team being placed fifth in the league with a record of 28-26, Knight's individual contributions have been outstanding this season. He has been averaging 17.6 points per game, 11.2 rebounds per game (the third best in the league), and 2.6 assists per game over the course of 60 games. His impressive stats and consistent performance throughout the season highlight his skills and determination as a finalist.
#4. Gabe Dorsey, a 6'6'' guard/forward and a proud Tribe alumnus from 2025, is currently showcasing his skills as a professional basketball player in Slovakia. Recently, he demonstrated his talent by contributing significantly to a convincing victory against the closely-ranked Prievidza team, with a final score of 105-78 in favor of his team in the Slovakian Tipos Slovenska Basketbalova Liga on a Saturday night's game.

Dorsey's performance was noteworthy as he scored 9 points and secured 1 rebound in just 17 minutes of play. His contributions were essential in helping his team clinch the victory in this highly anticipated game, setting the stage for their path to the championship title.
Throughout the season, Dorsey has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 11.5 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game across 39 games. His consistent performance on the court has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in his team's success, ultimately leading them to emerge as the champion.
#5. Sean Houpt, a 6'4'' guard who graduated from William & Mary in 2024 and now plays professionally in Switzerland, recently showcased his skills on the court in a game for Pully. Despite his impressive performance, where he scored 11 points and grabbed 1 rebound in just 12 minutes, Pully was unable to secure a victory against Fribourg, the leading team. Houpt's contributions as the top scorer were notable, but unfortunately, his team suffered a crushing 99-56 loss on the road.
In the current season, Houpt maintains an average of 5.5 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game across 11 games. Although Pully faced a tough defeat in the recent game, Houpt's individual performance highlights his potential as a standout player in the league.
#6. Caleb Dorsey, a 24-year-old former Tribe alumnus from 2025, currently playing professionally in Slovenia, recently faced off against Sencur Gorenjska Kranj with his team, Helios Suns. Despite his efforts, Dorsey was unable to lead his team to victory, as they fell short with a final score of 70-76. In the game, Dorsey managed to contribute 2 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of play. While he scored against Sencur Gor, his individual performance was not enough to secure the win for his team.
Throughout the season, Dorsey has been averaging 4.7 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game in 23 appearances. Monday's game may not be remembered as one of his best performances, but Dorsey continues to strive for success on the court as he works towards becoming a champion in his league.
#7. Canadian Matteus Case, a 6'5'' guard who is 24 years old and graduated from William & Mary in 2025, showcased his talent as a professional player in Albania. In a thrilling match against the closely-ranked Vllaznia, Case played a pivotal role in Tirana's 87-81 victory in the Albanian Superliga on Saturday night.
Despite only being on the court for 16 minutes, Case managed to score an impressive 11 points and secure 3 rebounds against Vllaznia. His significant contribution to the game proved crucial in helping his team clinch the victory and ultimately be crowned the champion.
Throughout the season, Case has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in the 13 games played so far. His consistent performance and leadership on the court have been instrumental in guiding his team towards success, solidifying his position as a standout finalist in the league.
#8. David Cohn, a 6'2'' guard and 31-year-old Tribe alumnus from 2018, currently plays professionally in Germany. Recently, he played a significant role in guiding PS Karlsruhe Lions to a commanding 89-74 victory over the 16th-ranked Uni Baskets in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA, the country's second division, during a game on Saturday night.
Despite scoring just 4 points, Cohn showcased his playmaking skills by delivering 7 assists in 19 minutes on the court. His standout performance continued in another game against Paderborn, where he contributed 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists, ultimately helping his team secure the win. His valuable contributions were instrumental in leading his team to be crowned as the champions of the game.
Throughout this season, Cohn has maintained an average of 7.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game across 26 appearances, demonstrating his consistent impact on the team's performance.
#9. Miguel Ayesa, a 6'5'' guard who is 25 years old, graduated from USC Upstate in 2024 after playing for William & Mary from 2019 to 2023. Currently, he is playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, Ayesa and his team, Cartagena, faced off against Zunder Palencia but unfortunately couldn't secure the victory. Despite his efforts, Ayesa's performance fell short of his expectations, as he only managed to score 3 points and grab 1 rebound in 5 minutes of play. Cartagena ended up losing the game with a score of 72-82.
This game might not go down as one of Ayesa's best performances, especially considering his limited playing time and contribution on the court. Throughout the season, Ayesa has been averaging 3.3 points per game over 20 games. It is interesting to note that Ayesa holds both American and Spanish citizenship, allowing him to play in Spain as a domestic player, which provides him with valuable opportunities to showcase his skills in the professional basketball scene.
