Here is the weekly review of the top performing Mustangs alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Chantae Embry, a 6'1'' forward who graduated from SMU in 2025 and currently plays professionally in Turkey, showcased her skills once again in the recent game for Yalova Vip. Despite her remarkable performance, Yalova Vip, with a record of 12-16, fell short in a close match against the lower-ranked Emlak Konut Gelisim Istanbul, losing 61-67 on the road. Embry had an outstanding game, recording a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes of play. This performance is particularly noteworthy as it is her first season in professional basketball. Despite her impressive contributions, Yalova Vip suffered their third consecutive loss. With only three games remaining in the Regular Season, each upcoming match becomes crucial for the team's playoff hopes. This season marks Embry's debut with the team, and she continues to deliver exceptional performances on the court. Against Emlak Konut Gelisim Istanbul, she displayed her skills by scoring 21 points, securing 10 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. However, her individual success has not translated into team victories, with Yalova Vip facing challenges in securing wins. Throughout the season, Embry has maintained high statistical averages, showcasing her talent with an average of 20.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 24 games she has played so far. Her impressive performances have established her as a standout player in her first year of professional basketball.

#2. Australian Keely Froling, a 6'2'' forward and 30-year-old alumna of the Mustangs from 2016, currently playing professionally in Australia, showcased her talent in the recent game for the league outsider Northern Force (0-5). Despite her remarkable performance, the 20th-placed Northern Force suffered a 69-75 loss to the higher-ranked (#15) Chargers in the South group in Hobart. Froling delivered an impressive double-double, scoring 19 points and securing 14 rebounds while maintaining a perfect 8-for-8 record from the free-throw line, all within 36 minutes of play. Although Northern Force has faced defeat in all five games of the Regular Season thus far, the season is still in its early stages, leaving room for potential improvements and turnarounds. In the game against the Chargers, Froling stood out by displaying exceptional skills on the court, contributing significantly with her 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 1 assist. Despite her outstanding performance, the team was unable to secure a victory. Froling's remarkable display earned her the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, solidifying her status as a true champion in the game. Individually, Froling has been having a standout year with impressive statistics. She leads the league in scoring with an average of 28.0 points per game, ranks fourth in rebounds with 14.0 per game, and also averages 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per game across three games, showcasing her prowess on the court as a finalist in the making.

#3. Australian Paige Bayliss, a standout player standing at 6'5'' and a center who graduated from SMU in 2023, recently made her mark in the Australian NBL One North (second division). Despite scoring just 4 points in 13 minutes during her debut game for the Southern Districts Spartans this season, Bayliss played a crucial role in their dominant 105-61 victory over the seventh-ranked Capitals. This game, part of a heated derby match, showcased Bayliss' potential as a key player for her team. Additionally, in a game against Brisbane C., Bayliss showcased her skills by scoring 4 points and grabbing 3 rebounds, further solidifying her importance to the team. Her impressive performance on the court undoubtedly played a significant role in her team's success, ultimately leading them to emerge as the champion of the match. Currently, Bayliss' team holds the second position in the North group, with her presence bringing a valuable contribution to their overall performance. As a rising star in the league, Bayliss has the potential to continue making significant contributions and lead her team to further victories in the future.

#4. Australian champion Alicia Froling, a 30-year-old forward standing at 6'3'' and an alumna of Mustangs in 2019, currently plays professionally in Australia. In a recent game, she led the Knox Raiders to a decisive 78-55 victory over the seventh-ranked Spectres in the Australian NBL One North league, showcasing her skills on the court. Froling's remarkable performance earned her the title of MVP, as she secured a double-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 33 minutes of play. Despite Knox Raiders being positioned tenth in the South group, Froling's exceptional display against Nunawading S. further highlighted her prowess as a finalist. Her impressive stat line of 19.3 points per game (leading the league), 13.3 rebounds per game (fourth best in the league), 1.8 assists per game, and 1.8 blocks per game (also fourth best in the league) solidifies her reputation as a champion player.
