Here is the weekly review of the top performing Seawolves alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Frankie Policelli, a 6'9'' forward who graduated from Charleston in 2024 and previously played for Stony Brook between 2019 and 2023, is currently making waves in the professional basketball scene in the United Kingdom. In a recent British Super League Basketball game, Policelli was a standout performer for the Cheshire Phoenix, helping them secure a crucial victory against the league-leading Lions with a score of 95-92 on Friday night.
Despite being only in his second season in professional basketball, Policelli's impact was undeniable as he recorded 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 33 minutes of play. This stellar performance was crucial in the closely contested match between two top 4 ranked teams. The Cheshire Phoenix, currently placed second in the league with a record of 19-12, is gearing up for their final game of the Regular Season, which holds significant importance for their playoff aspirations.
Policelli's impressive display didn't go unnoticed, especially in the game against London L., where he once again showcased his skills as a finalist by scoring 18 points and securing 8 rebounds to help his team emerge victorious. His season statistics reflect his consistent contributions, averaging 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Policelli's prowess on the court truly highlights his potential as a champion in the making.
#2. Nigerian champion Uchenna Iroegbu, a 6'0'' point guard and 29-year-old Seawolves alumnus from 2018 currently playing professionally in Germany, was unable to lead Science City Jena (10-20) to victory in their recent game last Saturday. Despite Iroegbu's solid performance, Jena was narrowly defeated 76-73 on the road by the higher-ranked Chemnitz (#11). Iroegbu contributed 11 points and 3 assists in 23 minutes of play.
With only four games remaining in the Regular Season, each upcoming game becomes crucial for Jena. In the match against Chemnitz, Iroegbu showcased his skills by scoring 11 points, grabbing 1 rebound, and dishing out 3 assists, although his team ultimately fell short.
Throughout the season, Iroegbu has maintained respectable statistics, averaging 10.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He has a noteworthy background as a former participant in the Eurobasket Summer League, a prestigious platform for players aspiring to compete in basketball leagues overseas.
#3. Chris Maidoh, a towering 6'10'' forward who graduated from Stony Brook in 2024 after helping them reach the final of the CAA Tournament that year, currently plays professionally in Holland. Last Sunday, Maidoh unfortunately couldn't lift Leeuwarden (10-20) to victory as they were defeated 89-83 by the higher-ranked Den Helder (#13) in their recent game. Despite the loss, Maidoh put on a commendable performance, finishing as the team's second-best scorer with 15 points and contributing 6 rebounds in just 18 minutes of play.
With only four games remaining in the BNXT League Regular Season, each upcoming match holds significant importance for Leeuwarden. Maidoh's standout performance against Den Helder, where he showcased his scoring prowess, rebounding ability, and playmaking skills with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, highlights his value to the team. Despite his impressive individual statistics this season - averaging 10.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game - Maidoh's focus remains on helping Leeuwarden secure victories in their remaining games.

Roberts contributed 5 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist during his 14 minutes on the court.
The Hiroshima Dragonflies, currently in sixth place with a record of 31-25, faced a tough challenge against the Magic, who are ranked eighth in the West group.
