EuroBasket Pro Tigers Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Tigers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Jalen Duren (6'10''-F/C-2003, played in 2021-22, plays pro in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to a victory over the Dallas Mavericks (2-5) 122-110 in the NBA on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Duren recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. The Detroit Pistons have a solid 5-2 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Duren has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.3ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.4bpg.

   #2. Kendric Davis (6'0''-PG-1999, played in 2023-23, plays in Australia) was the main contributor in a 3-point Sydney Kings' victory against the league leader United (9-1) 95-92 in the Australian NBL in Monday night's game. Davis was MVP of the game. He scored 34 points (!!!), grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Davis' third season in pro basketball. Sydney Kings (5-5) are placed fifth in the NBL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Davis' first year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 23.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.9apg and 1.2spg in 10 games he played so far.

   #3. Josh Minott (6'9''-F-2002, played in 2021-22, currently in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-3) crushing them 125-105 in the NBA last Wednesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 14 rebounds. Minott also added and 3 steals in 33 minutes. The Boston Celtics have 3-5 record this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Minott's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 7.4ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg. Minott is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #4. Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu (6'10''-C-1999, played in 2022-23, plays pro in Spain) contributed to a 2-point BAXI Manresa's victory against the closely-ranked Surne Bilbao (2-3) 79-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night. Akobundu-Ehiogu scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 3 blocks. BAXI Manresa (2-3) is placed ninth in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Akobundu-Ehiogu's first year with the team. This season he averages 8.0ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.0bpg in five games.

   #5. Malcolm Dandridge (6'9''-C-2001, played in 2019-24, plays in Germany). Dandridge could not help Rasta Vechta to beat Gladiators (5-1) in the German BBL. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. his team was defeated 96-87 on the road by the leading Gladiators. This season Dandridge averages 7.0ppg and 4.8rpg.

   #6. Elijah McCadden (6'4''-G-1999, played in 2023-23, currently in North Macedonia) contributed to a MZT Skopje's victory against the closely-ranked Kumanovo MK 73-60 in the North Macedonian Prva Liga last Saturday. McCadden scored 8 points, grabbed 7 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals. McCadden has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.8spg in four games.

   #7. Moussa Cisse (7'0''-C-2002, played in 2024-25, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks in their game against the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Cisse scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. His team were defeated 110-102 in the NBA. This season Cisse averages 1.3ppg.

   #8. Raynere Thornton (6'7''-F-1997, played in 2017-19, plays in Slovakia) was not able to secure a victory for Slovan in their game against Sigal Prishtina in the European North Basketball League. He scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team lost 73-78. This year Thornton averages 6.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5spg in two games.

   #9. Tyreek Smith (6'8''-F/C-2000, played in 2024-25, currently in Israel) couldn't help Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona in their game against Hapoel Holon in the Israeli Winner League. Smith recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 19 minutes. His team was defeated 82-70. This season Smith averages 6.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.5apg.

   #10. David Jones-Garcia (6'6''-F-2001, played in 2023-24, plays pro in the NBA) couldn't help the San Antonio Spurs in their game against the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. Jones-Garcia cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points. His team lost 118-130 in the NBA. This year Jones-Garcia averages 3.0ppg and 1.3apg in three games.
