Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bison alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Tyson Ward (6'6''-SF-1997, played in 2016-20, plays pro in Greece) led Olympiacos to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Mykonou (1-2) crushing them 91-65 in the Greek GBL in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes.
Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus (3-0) is placed first in the GBL.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Ward's first year with the team.
Ward has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.8apg in four games he played so far.
#2. Sam Griesel (6'7''-G/F-2000, played in 2018-22, plays in Germany) led his German team ALBA Berlin to a victory over the closely-ranked Nymburk (1-2) 94-78 in the Basketball Champions League last Tuesday.
Griesel was MVP of the game. He recorded 18 points; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Griesel's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. ALBA Berlin (2-1) is placed second in the Basketball Champions League.
There are only three games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
It's Griesel's first year with the team.
This season he averages 10.0ppg and 1.7rpg.
#3. Vinnie Shahid (5'11''-PG-1998, played in 2018-20, currently in Mexico), who plays in the Mexican LNBP (second division) could not help Panteras de Aguascalientes (12-4) in their last game. Despite Shahid's very good performance Panteras de Aguascalientes was badly defeated100-83 on the road by the lower-ranked (#4) Fuerza Regia.
He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Shahid also added 3 assists in 31 minutes.
It was Panteras de Aguascalientes' first loss after ten consecutive victories.
This year Shahid averages 9.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.6apg in 21 games.
#4. Rocky Kreuser (6'9''-F-1999, played in 2017-22, plays pro in Greece) was not able to help Panionios (1-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Kreuser's good performance Panionios was crushed91-63 in Podgorica by the higher-ranked Buducnost (#4).
He recorded 12 points and blocked 2 shots.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Kreuser's first year with the team.
This season Kreuser averages 9.2ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2apg.
