Every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. L.J. Rose (6'3''-G-93, graduated '17, plays pro in Australia) was the major contributor in a Gold Coast Rollers' victory against the eighth-ranked Ipswich Force (7-4) crushing them 113-88 in the Australian State League (second division) on Friday night.
He scored 23 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Rose's second season in pro basketball. Gold Coast Rollers (10-2) are placed second in QBL group.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Rose has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 6.3apg and 1.3spg.
He is a naturalized Bahamian.
#2. Agustin Ambrosino (6'8''-F-90, graduated '13, plays in Bolivia) led CAN Potosi to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Univ. Santa Cruz (1-2) crushing them 113-74 in the Bolivian Libobasquet in Saturday night's game.
Ambrosino scored 20 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists.
CAN Potosi (4-1) is placed first in Group B.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Ambrosino has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 8.2rpg and 2.6apg in five games he played so far.
Ambrosino has also Argentinian passport.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
#3. Jimmer Fredette (6'2''-PG-89, graduated '11, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA Summer League could not help the Golden State Warriors (57-25) in their game last Monday. Despite his good performance the Golden State Warriors were defeated 81-77 on the road by the Sacramento Kings.
Fredette recorded 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes. It was his first game for Golden State Warriors this season.
#4. Eric Mika (6'10''-F-95, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) faced previously mentioned Jimmer Fredette in the NBA Summer League last game.
Mika managed to help Sacramento Kings in a victory against the Golden State Warriors (0-1) 81-77.
He recorded only 2 points. It was his first game for Sacramento Kings this season.
