We bring you last week's top former Mean Green players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Tony Mitchell (6'8''-F-92, graduated '13, plays pro in Philippines) led NLEX RW to a victory over the eighth-ranked Meralco Bolts (3-5) 100-91 in the Filipino PBA on Wednesday night.
He was MVP of the game. Mitchell recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 20 rebounds. He also added 4 assists in 36 minutes.
NLEX Road Warriors (1-7) are located at the very bottom in the PBA.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Mitchell has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 27.3ppg, 12.7rpg, 2.7apg and 1.5bpg.
#2. Shane Temara (6'9''-F/C, graduated '18, plays in New Zealand) could not help one of league's weakest teams Manawatu Jets (2-12) in their last game. Despite his good performance Manawatu Jets were badly defeated 110-93 on the road by the higher-ranked (#7) Rangers.
Temara scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
It was Manawatu Jets' fourth consecutive loss in a row.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Temara averages 8.6ppg and 7.3rpg in 14 games he played so far.
He is a naturalized New Zealander.
#3. Jordan Williams (6'6''-G-92, graduated '15, currently in Mexico) was the main contributor in a 3-point Gigantes de Jalisco's victory against the league leader Rayos de Hermosillo (23-11) 98-95 in the Mexican CIBACOPA last Monday.
He was MVP of the game. Williams recorded 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds in 34 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gigantes de Jalisco (18-16) is placed fourth in the CIBACOPA.
This season Williams has very high stats. He averages 22.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.5spg.
#4. Colin Voss (6'7''-PF-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Australia) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Vikings (3-14) 105-86 in a derby game in the Australian State League (second division) on Sunday night.
He scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Chelsea Gulls (7-10) are placed sixth in Big V group.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important.
Voss has very impressive stats this year 19.6ppg, 11.1rpg and 2.4apg in 14 games.
