Here is the weekly review of the top performing Gaels alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Emmett Naar (6'1''-G-94, graduated '18, plays pro in New Zealand) led Canterbury Rams to a victory against the closely-ranked Huskies (6-6) 81-70 in the New Zealand NBL in Thursday night's game. He scored 16 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Naar's first season in pro basketball. Canterbury Rams (9-2) are placed second in the NBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Naar has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 4.2rpg and 3.9apg in 11 games he played so far.

#2. Diamon Simpson (6'9''-F-87, graduated '09, plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Hapoel Holon (24-9) 92-76 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (15-18) is placed seventh in the Winner League. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Simpson's first season with the team. This year Simpson averages 9.7ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.1apg.

#3. Mitch Young (6'9''-F-90, graduated '13, currently in Australia), who plays in the Australian State League (second division) could not help Logan Thunder (4-1) in their last game. Despite Young's very good performance the fifth-placed Logan Thunder (4-1) was badly defeated 98-82 on the road by the much lower-ranked (#14) Toowoomba Mountaineers in the QBL group. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 13 rebounds in 29 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Young has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 20.5ppg, 11.8rpg, 3.0apg and 1.8bpg in four games.

#4. Experienced Ben Allen (6'11''-C-86, graduated '10, plays pro in Australia) contributed to a Diamond Valley Eagles' victory against the 12th-ranked Frankston Blues (5-8) 99-86 in the Australian State League (second division) in Saturday night's game. Allen recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 4 assists. Diamond Valley Eagles (5-8) are placed 15th in NBL1 group. Allen has relatively good stats this season 12.2ppg, 7.4rpg and 2.4apg.

#5. Clint Steindl (6'7''-F/G-89, graduated '12, plays in Australia) helped Perry Lakes Hawks win their game against the ninth-ranked Suns (7-9) 94-89 in the Australian State League (second division) last Friday. He scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 30 minutes. Perry Lakes Hawks (15-3) are placed in SBL group. Steindl has very impressive stats this year 16.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg in 12 games.
