Every week we bring you a list of the top former Hurricanes players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Shane Larkin (5'11''-PG-92, graduated '13, plays pro in Turkey) led Anadolu Efes to a victory against the closely-ranked Galatasaray (18-10) 78-72 in a derby game in the Turkish BSL on Wednesday night.
He scored 12 points and added 4 assists in 30 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (25-3) is placed first in the BSL.
It was his team's 17th consecutive victory in a row.
It's Larkin's first season with the team.
Larkin has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg.
#2. Rion Brown (6'6''-SG-91, graduated '14, plays in Greece) was the major contributor in Promitheas' victory against the closely-ranked AEK (18-8) 85-84 in the Greek A1 in Friday night's game.
Brown scored 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
ASP Promitheas Patras (16-10) is placed fifth in the A1.
It's Brown's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year 10.7ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.5apg in 32 games he played so far.
#3. Julian Gamble (6'10''-F/C-89, graduated '13, currently in France), who plays in the French Jeep ELITE ProA could not help JSF Nanterre (23-11) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance JSF Nanterre was badly defeated 91-72 on the road by the lower-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#8).
Gamble was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 20 minutes.
It's Gamble's first season with the team.
Gamble has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.2bpg.
#4. Kenny Kadji (6'11''-F-88, graduated '13, plays pro in Turkey) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Tofas in their game against Fenerbahce (24-4) in the Turkish BSL.
Kadji scored only 4 points.
Tofas lost 64-68 in Istanbul to the second-ranked Fenerbahce.
Kadji has relatively good stats this year 10.7ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg in 29 games.
#5. Experienced Guillermo Diaz (6'2''-G-85, graduated '06, plays in Puerto Rico) was not able to secure a victory for Atleticos de San German in their game against Leones (21-15) in the Puerto Rican BSN. Despite his good performance in Tuesday night's game He scored 12 points and added 9 assists in 30 minutes.
Diaz has relatively good stats this season 12.1ppg, 3.5rpg and 3.9apg.
He has also Puerto Rican passport.
#6. Ivan Cruz Uceda (6'10''-C/F-91, graduated '16, currently in Spain) contributed to a RETAbet BB's victory against the closely-ranked Melilla Baloncesto 75-68 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Saturday.
Cruz Uceda recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
This year Cruz Uceda averages 8.6ppg and 5.3rpg in 39 games.
