EuroBasket Pro Eagles Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Eagles players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Jahvari Josiah (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Puerto Rico). He could not help Cariduros de Fajardo (14-14) to beat Vaqueros (12-12) in the Puerto Rican BSN. Josiah scored 9 points and had 4 steals in 24 minutes. But Cariduros de Fajardo lost 90-103 on the road to the lower-ranked (#6) Vaqueros. This year Josiah averages 9.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4spg in 27 games he played so far.

   #2. Michael Murray (6'5''-SF-91, graduated '14, plays in Portugal) was not able to help Illiabum (13-19) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Murray's good performance the third-placed Illiabum (13-19) was crushed 90-68 in Oliveira by the leading Oliveirense in the Places 7-12 group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds (made all of his five free throws). Murray has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.9ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.8spg.

   #3. Experienced Rafi Reavis (6'8''-C-77, graduated '99, currently in Philippines), who plays in the Filipino PBA was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Hotshots (6-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Hotshots were edged 72-71 in Manila by the higher-ranked (#5) SM Beermen. Reavis was the second best scorer with 11 points. He also added 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in 36 minutes. It's Reavis' tenth season with the team. This year Reavis averages 6.9ppg and 7.7rpg in 28 games. He is a naturalized Filipino.

   #4. Akeem Ellis (6'6''-F, graduated '12, plays pro in Canada) couldn't help the Edmonton Stingers (1-1) in their game against the Hamilton HB (1-0) in the CEBL. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game He recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Ellis has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg and 6.5rpg.
