EuroBasket Pro Razorbacks Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Razorbacks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Jabril Durham (6'1''-G-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Latvia) was the major contributor in a VEF Riga's victory against the league leader Ventspils (27-1) 98-90 in the Latvian LBL in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 19 points and added 4 passes in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Durham's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. VEF Riga (26-2) is placed second in the LBL. It was his team's 14th consecutive victory in a row. It's Durham's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 14.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 6.9apg and 1.9spg in seven games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Teddy Gipson (6'3''-G-80, graduated '02, plays in Holland) led Groningen to a victory against the league leader Leiden (31-3) 84-71 in the Dutch Eredivisie last Saturday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and making 11 passes. Gipson also added 8 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Donar Groningen (22-12) is placed fourth in the Eredivisie. Gipson has relatively good stats this season 11.3ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.0apg.

   #3. Moses Kingsley (6'10''-F-94, graduated '17, currently in Belgium) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Limburg United (14-20) crushing them 85-65 in the Belgian Euromillions League on Sunday night. Kingsley recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in only 12 minutes. Telenet Giants Antwerp (27-6) is placed first in the Euromillions League. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Kingsley's first season with the team. This year he averages 7.2ppg and 4.3rpg in 15 games. Kingsley is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #4. Rashad Madden (6'5''-G-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Israel) could not help H.Galilee (17-9) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Madden's very good performance H.Galilee was edged 81-80 at home by the lower-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#4). He was the top scorer with 24 points. Madden also added 8 rebounds. Madden has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 6.9rpg and 3.8apg.

   #5. Delvon Johnson (6'9''-F/C-89, graduated '11, plays in Slovakia) was not able to help Prievidza in their game against Inter Bratislava (28-4) in the Slovakian SBL. He scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Prievidza lost 77-83 on their home court in Prievidza to the leading Inter Bratislava. It's Johnson's first season with the team. This year Johnson averages 7.6ppg, 7.5rpg and 2.0apg in 45 games.

   #6. Olumuyiwa Famutimi (6'5''-G, graduated '05, currently in Canada), who plays in the CEBL was not able to secure a victory for the Guelph Nighthawks (1-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Famutimi's good performance the Guelph Nighthawks were badly defeated 130-110 on the road by the Saskatchewan Rattlers. He recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. It was his first game for Guelph Nighthawks this season. Famutimi has also Canadian nationality.
