EuroBasket Pro Bears Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Bears players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. James Florence (6'1''-PG-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Poland) led Asseco Arka Gdynia to a victory over the eighth-ranked Legia (15-15) 94-75 in the Polish EBL in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Florence scored 35 points (!!!) and added 4 assists in 32 minutes. Asseco Arka Gdynia (25-5) is placed first in the EBL. Florence has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg in 34 games he played so far.

   #2. Langston Hall (6'4''-PG-91, graduated '14, plays in Greece). He could not help Promitheas (16-10) to beat Olympiacos (22-0) in the Greek A1. Hall scored 6 points. Promitheas was crushed 86-59 on the road by the leading Olympiacos. The Regular Season already ended. This season Hall averages 7.7ppg, 2.1rpg and 3.9apg.

   #3. Demetre Rivers (6'8''-G-95, graduated '18, currently in Estonia) was the major contributor in Parnu's victory against the closely-ranked TalTech crushing them 89-63 in the Estonian KML on Friday night. Rivers scored 18 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Parnu Sadamis placed second in the KML. Rivers has very impressive stats this year 15.7ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg in 10 games.

   #4. Ria'N Holland (6'0''-PG-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Romania) was not able to help Craiova (0-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the third-placed Craiova (0-4) was crushed 83-61 on the opponent's court by the leading Sibiu in the Group Red. Holland was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds. This season Holland averages 8.0ppg and 3.5rpg. Worth to mention Holland played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #5. Darious Moten (6'7''-F-92, graduated '15, plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (7-10) in their game against ALBA Berlin (27-7) in the German BBL. Moten scored only 4 points in 19 minutes. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was edged 107-104 in Berlin by the higher-ranked (#3) ALBA. The Regular Season already ended. This year Moten averages 5.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.1apg in 16 games.
