#1. Experienced Shamell Stallworth (6'5''-SG-80, graduated '03, plays pro in Brazil) could not help Mogi das Cruzes/Helbor (12-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Mogi das Cruzes/Helbor lost 77-85 on the road to the second-ranked Vivo/Franca. Stallworth was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 35 minutes. It's Stallworth's fifth season with the team. Stallworth has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg in 29 games he played so far. Stallworth is a naturalized Brazilian.

Despite Pinkins' very good performance the seventh-placed Novipiu Casale (16-12) lost 56-61 at home to the higher-ranked (#4) Tezenis VER in the West group. He had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. Pinkins also added 6 assists in 35 minutes. It was Novipiu Casale's first loss after six consecutive victories. It's Pinkins' first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 10.3rpg and 2.0apg in 32 games.

#3. Tim Derksen (6'4''-G-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Switzerland) led Fribourg to a victory over the third-ranked Boncourt (2-2) 86-77 in the Swiss SBL in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Derksen recorded 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws); quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Fribourg Olympic (5-0) is placed first. So far his team won all five games in the Quarter-Finals. This season Derksen has very high stats. He averages 16.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.6apg.
