EuroBasket Pro Runnin' Utes Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Runnin' Utes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Justin Bibbins (5'8''-PG-96, graduated '18, plays pro in Poland) led Polpharma Starogard Gdanski to a victory over the closely-ranked Legia (15-15) 102-97 in the Polish EBL on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Bibbins scored 18 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Polpharma Starogard Gdanski (13-17) is placed ninth in the EBL. The Regular Season already ended. Bibbins has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.9apg and 1.2spg.

   #2. Kim Tillie (6'11''-F/C-88, graduated '10, plays in Spain). He could not help Gran Canaria (11-20) to beat FC Barcelona (23-6) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Tillie scored 5 points. Gran Canaria was badly defeated 97-77 at home by the much higher-ranked (#3) FC Barcelona. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Tillie averages 5.6ppg and 2.8rpg in 28 games he played so far. He has also French passport.

   #3. Jordan Loveridge (6'6''-F-93, graduated '16, currently in Poland), who plays in the Polish EBL was not able to help Miasto Szkla Krosno (6-24) in their game last Sunday. Despite Loveridge's good performance the bottom-ranked Miasto Szkla Krosno was defeated 98-88 on the road by the higher-ranked GTK (#12). He scored 11 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 36 minutes. The Regular Season already ended. Loveridge has relatively good stats this season 11.9ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.9apg.

   #4. Experienced Andrew Bogut (7'0''-C-84, graduated '05, plays pro in the NBA) managed to help Golden State Warriors in a victory against the Houston Rockets (53-29) 104-100 in the NBA on Sunday night. Bogut recorded only 2 points. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 57-25 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Bogut averages 3.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.3apg in 19 games.

   #5. Jason Washburn (7'0''-C-90, graduated '13, plays in Romania) contributed to a 3-point Cluj Napoca's victory against the leader CSM Steaua Bucuresti (8-2) 69-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Wednesday night's game. He scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 13 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group Red. U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (17-7) is placed second in Group Red. It's Washburn's first season with the team. Washburn has relatively good stats this year 12.1ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.3apg. He is a naturalized Bulgarian.

   #6. Tyler Rawson (6'10''-PF-96, graduated '18, currently in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for FC Barcelona Lassa II in their game against RETAbet BB in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He recorded 5 points. His team lost 76-84. This year Rawson averages 9.5ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.2apg in 32 games.

   #7. Brandon Taylor (5'10''-PG-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Italy) was the major contributor in a Bergamo Bsk's victory against the seventh-ranked Pompea MNV 78-69 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) on Friday night. Taylor scored 14 points, made 3 passes and 5 steals in 34 minutes. This season he has very high stats. Taylor averages 18.2ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.5apg and 2.3spg.
