We bring you last week's top former Eagles players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Jacob Wiley (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Spain) was the major contributor in a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked Movil Estudiantes (10-18) 96-86 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night.
He scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Wiley's second season in pro basketball. Herbalife Gran Canaria (11-19) is placed 13th in the Liga Endesa.
Wiley has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.2ppg and 4.7rpg.
#2. Experienced Adris De Leon (5'11''-PG-84, graduated '09, plays in Poland) could not help MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (17-13) in their last game. Despite his good performance MKS Dabrowa Gornicza lost 80-88 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Stelmet Enea BC.
De Leon was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 4 assists.
De Leon has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 2.1rpg, 5.0apg and 1.8spg in 13 games he played so far.
#3. Benas Griciunas (7'0''-C-94, graduated '18, currently in Lithuania) was not able to help Siauliai in their game against Rytas (24-9) in the Lithuanian LKL. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night He recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Griciunas' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This season Griciunas averages 8.9ppg and 3.3rpg.
#4. Venkatesha Jois (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in New Zealand) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams 2 Cheap Cars Super City Rangers (1-3) in their game against Huskies (2-2) in the New Zealand NBL, despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game.
He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds; not bad, considering it's only Jois' third season in pro basketball. But 2 Cheap Cars Super City Rangers were badly defeated 84-68 in Hobart by the higher-ranked (#6) Huskies.
It was 2 Cheap Cars Super City Rangers' third consecutive loss in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Jois has very impressive stats this year 21.5ppg, 11.0rpg and 2.0spg in four games.
#5. Drew Brandon (6'4''-G-92, graduated '15, plays in Poland) couldn't help AZS Koszalin (8-22) in their game against Trefl (7-23) in the Polish EBL.
He scored only 4 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals in 27 minutes.
AZS Koszalin was crushed 102-67 at home by the one of league's weakest teams Trefl (#15).
The Regular Season already ended.
Brandon has relatively good stats this season 11.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 4.6apg and 1.6spg.
#6. Bogdan Bliznyuk (6'6''-G/F-95, graduated '18, currently in Israel) couldn't help Bnei Hertzeliya in their game against Maccabi T-A in the Israeli Winner League.
Bliznyuk scored 5 points.
His team was crushed by 44 points 102-58.
This year Bliznyuk averages 6.9ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.5apg in 28 games.
#7. Felix Von Hofe (6'5''-F-93, graduated '17, plays pro in Australia) led Kilsyth Cobras to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Tigers crushing them 92-72 in the Australian State League (second division) on Sunday night.
He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 25 minutes.
This season Von Hofe averages 9.0ppg and 4.5rpg.
#8. Jordan Hickert (6'9''-F/C-90, graduated '11, plays in Australia) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Eagles crushing them 117-87 in the Australian State League (second division) in Saturday night's game.
He scored 8 points and blocked 2 blocks.
This year Hickert averages 2.3ppg and 1.3rpg in six games.
#9. Cliff Colimon (6'0''-PG-89, graduated '12, currently in France) led Toulouse to a 1-point victory against the ninth-ranked Kaysersberg 90-89 in the French NM1 (third division) last Friday.
He scored 22 points, made 7 passes and 3 steals in 32 minutes.
Colimon has relatively good stats this season 14.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg.
He is a naturalized Haitian.
