EuroBasket Pro Sooners Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Sooners alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Cameron Clark (6'7''-F/G-91, graduated '14, plays pro in France) could not help Le Mans Sarthe Basket (14-14) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance Le Mans Sarthe Basket was defeated 84-75 on the road by the higher-ranked JSF Nanterre (#7). Clark was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 32 minutes. It's Clark's first season with the team. Clark has relatively good stats this year 13.4ppg and 3.3rpg.

   #2. Tashawn Thomas (6'8''-F-93, graduated '15, plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (12-15) crushing them 100-73 in the Israeli Winner League in Monday night's game. Thomas scored 6 points, had 5 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. Hapoel Jerusalem (19-7) is placed second in the Winner League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Thomas' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5bpg in 21 games he played so far.

   #3. Amath M'Baye (6'9''-F-89, graduated '13, currently in Italy), who plays in the Italian Serie A was not able to help Virtus Bologna (12-14) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Virtus Bologna was badly defeated 77-61 at home by the much higher-ranked Happy Casa BR (#4). M'Baye was the top scorer with 10 points. He also added 3 passes in 29 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. M'Baye has relatively good stats this season 10.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.4apg. He has also French citizenship.

   #4. Andrew Fitzgerald (6'8''-C/F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Ehime Orange Vikings (20-38) in their game against Shimane Magic (42-16) in the Japanese B2 League, despite his very good performance last Saturday. Fitzgerald was the top scorer with 33 points. He also added 7 rebounds. But the fourth-placed Ehime Orange Vikings (20-38) lost 75-88 in Shimane to the second-ranked Magic in the West group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Fitzgerald's first season with the team. Fitzgerald has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 27.0ppg, 12.0rpg and 2.8apg in 54 games.

   #5. Tony Crocker (6'7''-F/G-87, graduated '10, plays in Russia) contributed to Khimki's victory against the seventh-ranked BC Nizhny Novgorod (13-11) 97-93 in the VTB United League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 6 points in only 9 minutes. BC Khimki Moscow Region (19-5) is placed third in the VTB United League. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Crocker has relatively good stats this season 11.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.8apg.

   #6. Ryan Wright (6'9''-C/F-87, graduated '10, currently in Hungary) couldn't help Pecsi VSK-Veolia in their game against Kormend in the Hungarian A Division, despite his good performance last Thursday. Wright was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 4 rebounds. But his team lost 70-84. This year Wright averages 5.9ppg and 3.4rpg in 14 games.

   #7. Experienced Terrell Everett (6'4''-G-84, graduated '06, plays pro in Kosovo) led Golden Eagle Ylli to an easy victory against the league outsider Borea crushing them 143-72 in the Kosovan Superliga on Saturday night. He recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in a mere 18 minutes. This season Everett has very high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.1apg and 2.2spg.

   #8. Jason Detrick (6'5''-SF-80, graduated '04, plays in Austria) led BC Hallmann Vienna to a victory over one of league's weakest teams UBSC Graz 87-75 in the Austrian A Bundesliga in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Detrick scored 23 points, had 6 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. Detrick has very impressive stats this year 26.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg in 34 games. He is a naturalized Austrian.
