EuroBasket Pro Redhawks Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Redhawks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Michael Bramos (6'5''-G/F-87, graduated '09, plays pro in Italy) led Umana Reyer Venezia to a victory against the tenth-ranked MIA-RO Cantu (13-13) 94-90 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Bramos also added 3 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes. Umana Reyer Venezia (18-8) is placed second in the Serie A. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Bramos' fourth season with the team. This year he averages 9.7ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.8apg. Bramos is a naturalized Greek.

   #2. Julian Mavunga (6'8''-PF-90, graduated '12, plays in Japan) led Kyoto Hannaryz to a victory over the sixth-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-46) 83-79 in the Japanese B League in Sunday night's game. Mavunga was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. Mavunga also added 9 assists. Kyoto Hannaryz (30-28) is placed third in West group. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Mavunga has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.8ppg, 8.6rpg and 8.6apg in 51 games he played so far. Mavunga is a naturalized Zimbabwean.

   #3. Kenny Hayes (6'1''-PG-87, graduated '10, currently in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish BSL could not help Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket (6-18) in their game last Saturday. Despite Hayes' very good performance Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket was defeated 86-81 on the road by the higher-ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (#9). He was the top scorer with 27 points. Hayes also added 4 passes (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in 38 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This season Hayes has very high stats. He averages 21.6ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.4apg.

   #4. Antonio Ballard (6'5''-F-88, graduated '12, plays pro in Finland) was the major contributor in Vilpas' victory against the sixth-ranked Kouvot (19-21) crushing them 109-86 in the Finnish Korisliiga on Tuesday night. Ballard scored 18 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Salon Vilpas Vikings (33-7) is placed first in the Korisliiga. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. It's Ballard's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 17.2ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.6apg in 29 games. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #5. Experienced Wiliam Hatcher (6'2''-PG-84, graduated '06, plays in Greece) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams PAOK in their game against Olympiacos (21-0) in the Greek A1. He scored 7 points in 26 minutes. PAOK was crushed 80-59 in Pireus by the leading Olympiacos. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Hatcher has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 1.6rpg and 3.1apg.

   #6. Will Felder (6'7''-F-91, graduated '14, currently in France) was the main contributor in a 2-point Chartres Basket Masculins' victory against the closely-ranked Entente Orleans 45 84-82 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. Felder was MVP of the game. He scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds. Felder has very impressive stats this year 15.4ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.8apg in 25 games.

   #7. Logan McLane (6'9''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Hungary) was not able to secure a victory for TF Budapest (2-26) in their game last Saturday. Despite McLane's very good performance the fourth-placed TF Budapest was defeated 91-76 at home by the second-ranked Alba in the Places 11-14 group. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. McLane also added 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. McLane has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 7.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg.
