EuroBasket Pro Catamounts Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Catamounts alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Torrion Brummitt (6'8''-F/C-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Austria) led Basket Swans Gmunden to a victory over one of league's weakest teams UBSC Graz (9-22) 102-83 in the Austrian A Bundesliga on Thursday night. He was MVP of the game. Brummitt recorded 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 32 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Basket Swans Gmunden (22-9) is placed second in the A Bundesliga. It's Brummitt's first year with the team. Brummitt has relatively good stats this season 11.4ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.8apg.

   #2. Brandon Boggs (6'6''-G-92, graduated '14, plays in Czech Republic) contributed to a NH Ostrava's victory against the fourth-ranked Kralovsti sokoli (6-26) 90-76 in the Czech Republic NBL in Wednesday night's game. Boggs recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. BK Nova Hut Ostrava (10-22) is placed third in Places 9-12 group. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Boggs has relatively good stats this year 12.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.0apg in 31 games he played so far.

   #3. James Sinclair (6'5''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss SBL could not help Massagno (4-4) to beat Geneve Lions (2-1). Sinclair scored 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes. The third-placed Massagno (4-4) was crushed 84-61 on the road by the second-ranked Geneve Lions in the Places 1-6 group. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Sinclair has relatively good stats this season 14.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.9apg and 2.1spg.

   #4. Haboubacar Mutombo (6'5''-G-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Spain) helped Cazorla win their game against the sixth-ranked Huelva (14-10) 82-74 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. CB Cazorla Jaen Paraiso Interior (14-11) is placed seventh in Group D. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Mutombo has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg in 12 games. He has also Canadian nationality. Mutombo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
