Every week we bring you a list of the top former Crusaders players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Alec Peters (6'9''-F-95, graduated '17, plays pro in Russia) managed to help CSKA Moscow in a victory against the seventh-ranked Baskonia (15-15) 82-78 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game.
He scored only 4 points in 14 minutes.
CSKA Moscow (23-7) is placed second in the Euroleague.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
It's Peters' first season with the team.
This year Peters averages 5.9ppg and 2.9rpg in 30 games he played so far.
#2. Experienced Miguel Ali Berdiel (6'6''-G-83, graduated '06, plays in Puerto Rico) could not help Brujos de Guayama (6-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Berdiel's good performance Brujos de Guayama was badly defeated 90-73 on the road by the second-ranked Santeros.
He was the top scorer with 14 points. Berdiel also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Berdiel has relatively good stats this year 14.1ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Ryan Broekhoff (6'6''-F-90, graduated '13, currently in the NBA) was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks in their game against the Memphis Grizzlies (32-47) in the NBA.
He scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes.
But the Dallas Mavericks (31-48) lost 112-122 in Memphis to the Grizzlies.
There are only three games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
It's Broekhoff's first season with the team.
This year Broekhoff averages 4.1ppg and 1.6rpg in 38 games.
He has also Dutch nationality.
#4. Cory Johnson (6'8''-F/C-88, graduated '11, plays pro in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Ehime Orange Vikings (19-36) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Johnson's very good performance the fourth-placed Ehime Orange Vikings (19-36) were defeated 89-75 in Hiroshima by the higher-ranked Dragonflies (#3) in the West group.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 12 rebounds. Johnson also added 3 assists and 4 steals.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
Johnson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 21.2ppg, 10.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg.
#5. Shane Hammink (6'7''-G-94, graduated '17, plays in Holland) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Groningen (18-9) in their game against Den Bosch (21-7) in the Dutch Eredivisie.
He scored 7 points in 23 minutes.
Groningen lost 63-69 in Den Bosch to the higher-ranked (#3) Den Bosch.
This year Hammink averages 7.9ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.4apg in 21 games.
#6. Shawn Huff (6'6''-SF-84, graduated '08, currently in Germany) couldn't help Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in their game against SC Rasta Vechta in the German BBL.
He scored 8 points.
His team was badly defeated by 20 points 100-80.
This season Huff averages 7.3ppg and 3.2rpg.
#7. Jordan Coleman (6'5''-G-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Australia) led Hume City Broncos to a victory over the eighth-ranked Vikings crushing them 105-69 in the Australian State League (second division) in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Coleman scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Coleman has very impressive stats this year 18.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg in four games.
#8. Dan Oppland (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Phoenix Hagen crushing them 87-66 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday.
Oppland scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists.
Oppland has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.7apg.
#9. Mohamed Kone (6'11''-C-81, graduated '06, currently in France) contributed to a Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole's victory against the 13th-ranked Paris 94-80 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night.
Kone recorded 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 32 minutes.
This year Kone averages 8.6ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in 25 games.
He has also French nationality.
#10. Kevin van Wijk (6'8''-F-89, graduated '13, plays pro in Spain) helped Rio Ourense Termal win their game against one of league's weakest teams CB Prat crushing them 88-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Saturday night's game.
van Wijk scored only 3 points.
This season van Wijk averages 6.4ppg and 3.9rpg.
