EuroBasket Pro Tigers Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Tigers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Chris Crawford (6'4''-G-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Lebanon) could not help Beirut Club (12-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance Beirut Club was edged 74-72 at home by the lower-ranked (#7) Al Moutahed. Crawford recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in 30 minutes. Crawford has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 6.2apg and 1.9spg in 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Joey Dorsey (6'9''-C/F-83, graduated '08, plays in Greece) was the major contributor in an overtime Panionios' victory against one of league's weakest teams Kolossos HH (3-17) 109-106 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (8-11) is placed seventh in the A1. This season Dorsey averages 8.3ppg and 7.1rpg.

   #3. Tyreke Evans (6'6''-PG-89, graduated '09, currently in the NBA) led Indiana Pacers to a victory against the Detroit Pistons (39-40) 111-102 in the NBA on Monday night. Evans recorded 13 points and added 3 passes in 27 minutes. The Indiana Pacers have 47-33 record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Evans' first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 10.0ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.4apg in 68 games.

   #4. Will Barton (6'6''-SG-91, graduated '12, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Denver Nuggets in their game against the Washington Wizards (32-48) in the NBA. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game Barton scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. There are only three games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Barton's fourth season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Barton averages 11.9ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.9apg.

   #5. Adonis Thomas (6'7''-SF-93, graduated '13, plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for medi Bayreuth (12-13) in their game against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (5-21) in the German BBL, despite his good performance last Saturday. He scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 29 minutes. But medi Bayreuth lost 75-83 on the road to the one of league's weakest teams (#17) Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. It's Thomas' first season with the team. This year Thomas averages 9.7ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.9apg in 24 games.

   #6. Michael Dixon (6'1''-G-90, graduated '14, currently in Italy) contributed to a Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia's surprising victory against the sixth-ranked Happy Casa BR 82-76 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Dixon scored 9 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 8 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 3.6rpg and 4.4apg. Dixon is a naturalized Georgian.

   #7. Willie Kemp (6'1''-PG-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Romania) couldn't help CS Dinamo Bucuresti in their game against CSM Steaua Bucuresti in the Romanian Liga Nationala, despite his good performance last Thursday. Kemp recorded 12 points and added 6 passes in 33 minutes. But his team lost 75-85. He has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 5.1apg and 1.6spg in 17 games.

   #8. Ricky Tarrant (6'2''-PG-93, graduated '16, plays in Turkey) led Artvin Belediye to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Yalova Bld 79-75 in the Turkish TBL (second division) last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Tarrant scored 22 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists. This season he has very high stats. Tarrant averages 26.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 5.0apg and 1.6spg.
