EuroBasket Pro Aggies Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Aggies players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Pascal Siakam (6'9''-F-94, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA) led Toronto Raptors to a victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder (44-31) 123-114 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Siakam had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 6 assists in 43 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Siakam's third season in pro basketball. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 52-23 record this season. Siakam has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.8ppg, 6.9rpg and 3.1apg in 74 games he played so far.

   #2. Jemerrio Jones (6'5''-G-95, graduated '18, plays in the NBA G League) could not help the South Bay Lakers (21-28) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Jones' very good performance the South Bay Lakers (#4) were defeated 118-108 on the road by the Stockton Kings. He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 15 rebounds. Jones also added 7 assists and 3 steals. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA G League. It's Jones' first season with the team. This year he averages 9.4ppg, 9.4rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Bandja Sy (6'9''-F-90, graduated '13, currently in Serbia) was not able to help BC Partizan NiS Beograd in their game against Crvena Zvezda (21-1) in the ABA League. Sy recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. But BC Partizan NiS Beograd lost 101-106 in a derby game to the leading Crvena Zvezda. This year Sy averages 6.8ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.3apg in 22 games. He has also French nationality.

   #4. Experienced Hatila Passos (6'11''-C-85, graduated '08, plays pro in Uruguay) contributed to Malvin's victory against the leader Bigua (4-2) 67-59 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Tuesday night's game. Passos recorded 6 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Malvin Montevideo (4-1) is placed first. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Passos has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 10.3rpg and 1.5apg. He has also Uruguayan passport.

   #5. Wendell McKines (6'6''-F-88, graduated '12, plays in Uruguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hatila Passos and both played together in the last Uruguayan LUB game. McKines managed to help Malvin Montevideo in a victory against the leader Bigua (4-2) 67-59 in a derby game. He recorded 5 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 20 minutes. McKines has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 7.5rpg and 2.5apg in six games.

   #6. Jahmar Young (6'5''-G-86, graduated '10, currently in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) was not able to secure a victory for H.Haifa (9-15) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Young's very good performance H.Haifa was edged 83-82 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked Afula (#4). He was the top scorer with 22 points. Young also added 4 rebounds. This season Young has very high stats. He averages 23.1ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.5apg and 1.4spg.
