EuroBasket Pro Red Storm Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Red Storm players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced Lamont Hamilton (6'10''-C/F-84, graduated '07, plays pro in Japan) was the major contributor in a Niigata Albirex's victory against the second-ranked Toshiba Thunders (30-17) 85-74 in the Japanese B League on Saturday night.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 14 rebounds. Hamilton also added 3 assists in 36 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Central. Niigata Albirex (33-14) is placed first.
Hamilton has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.5bpg.
#2. Sean Evans (6'8''-PF-88, graduated '11, plays in Greece) led Ifestos to a 2-point victory against the second-ranked PAOK (14-4) 75-73 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game.
He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds.
Ifestos Limnou (11-8) is placed seventh in the A1.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
It's Evans' first season with the team.
Evans has relatively good stats this year 12.8ppg, 8.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg in 18 games he played so far.
#3. D'Angelo Harrison (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Russia), who plays in Russia could not help Enisey (6-13) in their game last Friday. Despite Harrison's very good performance Enisey was defeated 92-88 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Parma (#13).
He was the top scorer with 25 points. Harrison also added 9 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 37 minutes.
Harrison has relatively good stats this season 14.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.3apg and 1.4spg.
#4. JaKarr Sampson (6'9''-F-93, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA G League) led Windy City Bulls to a victory against the Delaware Blue Coats (18-28) 121-111 in the NBA G League on Friday night.
Sampson had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks.
The Windy City Bulls have 26-21 record this season.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the NBA G League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Sampson has very impressive stats this year 21.3ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1bpg in 21 games.
#5. Maurice Harkless (6'8''-G/F-93, graduated '12, plays in the NBA) contributed to a Portland Trail Blazers' victory against the Indiana Pacers (44-28) 106-98 in the NBA in Monday night's game.
He scored 10 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 27 minutes.
The Portland Trail Blazers have a solid 43-27 record this season.
It's Harkless' fourth year with the team.
Harkless has relatively good stats this year 7.1ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg.
He is a naturalized Puerto Rican.
#6. Amar Alibegovic (6'9''-F-95, graduated '18, currently in Italy), who plays in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) was not able to help Virtus Roma (17-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance the first-placed Virtus Roma lost 65-71 in Rieti to the lower-ranked (#3) Zeus EG in the West group.
Alibegovic was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 7 rebounds.
This year Alibegovic averages 6.3ppg and 3.8rpg in 25 games.
He has also Italian citizenship.
#7. Omar-Sharif Cook (6'1''-PG-82, graduated '01, plays pro in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Movistar Estudiantes Madrid in their game against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Liga Endesa.
Cook scored 9 points and added 7 assists in 31 minutes.
His team was defeated 90-76.
This season he averages 7.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 6.3apg and 1.3spg.
Cook is a naturalized Montenegrin.
#8. Orlando Sanchez (6'9''-SF-88, graduated '14, plays in Lebanon) couldn't help Atlas Ferzol in their game against Byblos in the Lebanese LBL, despite his good performance in Wednesday night's game.
Sanchez had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks.
But his team lost 71-84.
Sanchez has relatively good stats this year 10.9ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.4apg, 1.4bpg and 1.1spg in seven games.
He has also Dominican Rep. passport.
#9. Federico Mussini (6'2''-G-96, graduated '17, currently in Italy) couldn't help Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia in their game against Sidigas AV in the Italian Serie A.
Mussini recorded 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes.
His team was crushed by 32 points 91-59.
This season he averages 6.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.2apg.
#10. Bashir Ahmed (6'7''-F/G-93, graduated '18, plays pro in Kosovo) couldn't help Prishtina in their game against Openjobmetis VA in the FIBA Europe Cup, despite his good performance in Wednesday night's game.
Ahmed scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
But his team was badly defeated by 16 points 100-84.
This year he averages 9.7ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.2apg in six games.
