EuroBasket Pro Vandals Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Vandals players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Brayon Blake (6'7''-G/F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Germany) could not help one of league's weakest teams Basketball Loewen Braunschweig (8-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Basketball Loewen Braunschweig was edged 88-85 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) SC Rasta Vechta. Blake was the second best scorer with 21 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Blake's first season in pro basketball. The Regular Season already ended. It's Blake's first year with the team. This season he averages 9.9ppg and 3.8rpg in 24 games he played so far.

   #2. Mike Scott (6'1''-PG-93, graduated '15, plays in Poland) led BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wlkp. to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Polpharma (10-12) 90-75 in the Polish EBL last Saturday. He recorded 13 points and added 7 passes. BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (15-7) is placed fifth in the EBL. It's Scott's first season with the team. Scott has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.4apg and 1.6spg.

   #3. Bira Seck (6'9''-PF-90, graduated '15, currently in Japan), who plays in the Japanese B League D3 was not able to help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Tokyo Cinq Reves (21-14) in their last game. Despite Seck's very good performance Tokyo Cinq Reves lost 99-104 in Aichi to the higher-ranked (#4) Aisin AW. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Seck also added 8 rebounds in 28 minutes. It was Tokyo Cinq Reves' first loss after ten consecutive victories. Seck has relatively good stats this year 14.1ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.9apg in 47 games.

   #4. Deremy Geiger (5'11''-PG-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Czech Republic) was not able to secure a victory for Brno (10-19) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the eighth-placed Brno (10-19) was crushed 103-73 at home by the higher-ranked BK Olomoucko (#3) in the Places 1-8 group. Geiger was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 5 assists. Geiger has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.6apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Tomas Domingos (7'0''-C-98, graduated '19, plays in Portugal) couldn't help Benfica B (11-12) in their game against Vasco (6-16) in the Portuguese Proliga (second division), despite his good performance on Sunday night. He scored 11 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 34 minutes. But the second-placed Benfica B (11-12) was edged 74-71 in Porto by the lower-ranked (#7) Vasco in the Group B. This year Domingos averages 6.9ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.3apg in nine games.

   #6. Experienced Marvin Jefferson (6'9''-C-86, graduated '10, currently in Israel) couldn't help Netanya in their game against Elitzur Yavne in the Israeli National League (second division). Despite his very good performance in Tuesday night's game He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 17 rebounds. Jefferson also added 3 assists and 5 blocks. This season Jefferson has very high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 11.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2.2bpg and 1.1spg.

   #7. Kyle Barone (6'8''-C-89, graduated '13, plays pro in Vietnam) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Saigon Heat in their game against CLS Knights in the ASEAN League, despite his very good performance last Wednesday. He was the second best scorer with 21 points. Barone also added 6 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 3 shots in 37 minutes. But his team was edged 91-90. Barone has very impressive stats this year 21.5ppg, 13.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2bpg in 21 games.
