Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Friars players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. MarShon Brooks (6'5''-G/F-89, graduated '11, plays pro in China) was the major contributor in a Guangdong Southern Tigers' victory against the closely-ranked Leopards (34-12) 128-114 in the Chinese CBA in Wednesday night's game.
He scored 29 points (!!!), grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 34 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Guangdong Southern Tigers (41-5) are placed first in the CBA.
It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row.
The Regular Season already ended.
Brooks has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 26.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 6.7apg and 1.7spg in three games he played so far.
#2. Ricky Ledo (6'7''-F/G-92, graduated '13, plays in China) could not help Beijing Dragons (8-38) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Beijing Dragons were crushed 144-106 on the road by the much higher-ranked Sturgeons (#8).
Ledo was the top scorer with 53 points. He also added 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line).
The Regular Season already ended.
This season Ledo has very high stats. He averages 32.5ppg, 9.6rpg, 5.3apg and 2.4spg.
#3. Kris Dunn (6'4''-G-94, graduated '16, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Chicago Bulls (19-50) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Chicago Bulls (19-50) were badly defeated 123-107 in Los Angeles by the Lakers.
Dunn scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was Bulls' third consecutive loss in a row.
Dunn has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 6.0apg and 1.5spg in 41 games.
#4. Bryce Cotton (6'1''-G-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Perth Wildcats (18-10) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Perth Wildcats were badly defeated 92-74 in Melbourne by the leading United.
Cotton was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
It's Cotton's first season with the team.
This year Cotton has very high stats. He averages 21.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.6apg and 1.2spg.
#5. Experienced Tuukka Kotti (6'9''-PF-81, graduated '05, plays in Finland) led Helsinki Seagulls to a victory over the closely-ranked Kouvot (15-16) 90-84 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Friday.
He was MVP of the game. Kotti had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 6 assists in 33 minutes.
Helsinki Seagulls (13-18) is placed seventh in the Korisliiga.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Kotti has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg, 9.3rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg in 31 games.
#6. LaDontae Henton (6'6''-F-92, graduated '15, currently in Hungary) contributed to Atomeromu's victory against the closely-ranked ZTE KK 93-81 in the Hungarian A Division on Saturday night.
He scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line).
This season Henton has very high stats. He averages 16.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5spg.
#7. Ben Bentil (6'9''-F-95, graduated '16, plays pro in Greece) couldn't help Peristeri GS in their game against Ifestos in the Greek A1.
He scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 15 minutes.
His team lost 73-77.
Bentil has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg and 5.8rpg in 18 games.
He is a naturalized Ghanian.
#8. Vincent Council (6'2''-PG-90, graduated '13, plays in Slovakia) couldn't help Levice (4-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the second-placed Levice was defeated 94-84 on the opponent's court by the leading KK_Skrljevo in the group A of Alpe Adria Cup.
Council scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists.
This season Council averages 8.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 8.0apg and 2.0spg.
#9. Rodney Bullock (6'8''-F-94, graduated '18, currently in Kosovo) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Rahoveci 89-70 in the Kosovan Superliga on Saturday night.
Bullock scored 8 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 23 minutes. It was his first game for Prishtina this season.
#10. Weyinmi Rose (6'5''-G/F-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Puerto Rico) contributed to a Leones de Ponce's victory against the closely-ranked Cariduros 130-117 in the Puerto Rican BSN in Tuesday night's game.
He scored 14 points and added 3 assists.
This season Rose averages 6.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.3apg.
He has also Jamaican passport.
