#1. Rashawn Thomas (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Italy) led his Italian team Banco di Srd to a victory over the third-ranked Leiden (2-4) crushing them 94-68 in the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday night. He was MVP of the game. Thomas recorded a double-double by scoring 40 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 32 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Thomas' second season in pro basketball. Banco di Sardegna Sassari (5-1) is placed first in group K. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Thomas has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.4ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg.

#2. Experienced Michael Hicks (6'5''-F-76, graduated '01, plays in Argentina) could not help San Martin Corrientes (11-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance San Martin Corrientes lost 84-91 on the road to the lower-ranked (#11) Estudiantes Concordia. Hicks was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 4 rebounds. It's Hicks' first season with the team. Hicks has very impressive stats this year 17.4ppg and 4.2rpg in 21 games he played so far.

#3. Demond Watt (6'7''-F-89, graduated '11, currently in France) was the main contributor in a 1-point STB Le Havre's victory against the eighth-ranked Lorient (11-13) 65-64 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Watt scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. STB Le Havre (17-7) is placed second in Group B. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row.
