EuroBasket Pro Tigers Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Tigers players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Arnold Louis (6'7''-F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Chile) led Las Animas to a victory over the fourth-ranked AB Ancud (19-13) 83-77 in the Chilean Liga Nacional in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Louis had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals in 35 minutes. Club Deportes Las Animas (24-8) is placed first in Conferencia Sur. Louis has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.0ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg in 34 games he played so far.

   #2. Jovonni Shuler (6'5''-G/F-87, graduated '11, plays in Chile) was the major contributor in Temuco's victory against the fourth-ranked Puente Alto (14-18) 93-80 in the Chilean Liga Nacional last Sunday. Shuler scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. CD Asociacion de Basquetbol Temuco (20-11) is placed first in Conferencia Centro. This season Shuler has very high stats. He averages 18.9ppg, 7.7rpg, 2.9apg and 2.4spg. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #3. Rashad Hassan (6'8''-C/F-89, graduated '13, currently in United Kingdom), who plays in the British BBL could not help Plymouth University Raiders (11-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Plymouth University Raiders was badly defeated 95-79 on the road by the lower-ranked (#10) Bristol Acadamy Flyers. Hassan scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. Hassan has very impressive stats this year 21.4ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.4apg in 18 games.

   #4. Javaris Jenkins (6'6''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Argentina) was the main contributor in a Progreso de General Roca's victory against the 14th-ranked La Union (9-12) 88-73 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Jenkins scored 24 points; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Progreso de General Roca (12-17) is placed fifth in South - South group. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. Jenkins has relatively good stats this season 14.0ppg and 2.0rpg.
